I understand your concern. Trust me, it is road grime. I have seen it before and I will see it again. It is hard to get off but not impossible...

Guys,
Got lil stupid question.
After install exhaust system, test pipe, crank pulley and injen cai do I need to flash the ecu or not? Any benefits on that or any major? Like can I not flash the ecu? Just lil confused about flash the ecu. Because I think reflash the ecu mostly if u install the turbo or supercharged. Please help me out. Thanks!

You don't Have to reflash it for it to still function with the new mods.

However, your engine will benefit from doing so after all these mods. Right now it is taking the increased flow from the free-er flowing intake/exhaust and is using its current maps to regulate fuel flow. This can hinder the performance gains of these mods. If you reflash your ECU, then crank and let it run for 15 mins to 'Learn' these new flow rates, it will adjust the map to work with the free-er flow. If you have already done all of the performance bolt-ons you would best benefit from going to a shop and getting a tune done. That way you can pull the max amount of gains from these mods.

I myself just need pulleys and then I'm going for a tune.

Thanks Chris! I went to the tune shop several times before and they told me to not waste my money to tune the car. Most of them said my car should be fine. So just making sure with u guys. And beside do we really need to unplug the battery before installing those mods? Thanks again!!

Unplugging the battery is a good home remedy, but you will benefit the most from a proper tune. If you went to this shop several times like you say and they said otherwise... I'd go to a different shop... :ugh2:

Hey Tony, I received the tdx and rtp's today! Jus like everybody said great packaging! Jus one quick ? Though around the end of the CF muffler there is some soft "glue" or rubber? Is it some sort of sealant? Should this be removed it goes all the way around both of them where the CF meets the metal? It's already coming off in some parts. Can't wait to get it all on my car unfortunately I have to wait till Monday!!! Argh! Once again thanks Tony! :tiphat:

It is the high temp. clear silicone sealant between the carbon fiber and the stainless steel end cap. We use it a precautionary measure for exhaust leaks. If any excess is peeling than just cut that off with a razor blade. Do not pull it out though. Just use the blade.

Enjoy the exhaust and let me know if you need anything else. I look forward to your feedback...

Thanks, Tony

:iagree: Still runnin strong (LTH's + 18" SS CBE). Honestly I prefer the higher RPM bands... (4-6k) Thats where it really opens up and gets the throaty VQ sound. In the lower RPM bands you can still hear the little bit of rasp. It's why I hate driving around here with speed limits of 45... Right when you get to 3k you gotta shift or you're going 75 :rofl2:

Vegitto-kun 12-11-2010 01:21 PM

I prefer the higher RPM too but if I do that I will get pulled over quickly I think.

+ I have the 12" CF CBE so it is abit loader than yours :p

The best part is when you have been driving for abit and your exhaust is nice and hot and the exhaust burbles when you let go. And then that BANG when you downshift is so....awesome.

I want to go to francorchamp spa again so I can really open it up but my dealerships is worrying that I will not pass the DB test

Oh ok, you went 12" CF... I'm wondering if I can find someone with CF cans about switching with them... Just for a bit to see what it sounds like.

I miss being in Europe driving however you like lol I wanna take my Z over there soooooooooo bad!!! :excited: :driving:

ScGRaceR 12-11-2010 01:29 PM

lol chris, tony cant waitt!!! wooo

Vegitto-kun 12-11-2010 01:31 PM

lol driving however you want?

if cops hear or smell that you have redone your exhaust they will pull you over and fine you and demand you go stock.

though it depends on your luck I have never been pulled over but that is probably because I dont go WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR OMG 7500RPM every second of my life.

Germany isn't much better these days.

The resonators themselves say Sebring tuning. I designed them and they make them for me. I have contemplated putting my logo on them or nothing at all. Aside of the resonator I build the entire test pipe in house.

BTW, I got your PM and will return it shortly...

Thanks, Tony

I'll be posting vids of Non Resonated Carbon Fiber CBE w/ Non Resonated Test Pipes probably sometime this weekend. Haven't gotten around to taking proper vids yet. The initial vids were too shaky.
