Did you get the 12" or 18" res?

I'm #1407....should have ordered after New Years...oh well. One thing to note, I spoke to Kevin shortly after my order and he told me they recently hired another fabricator but they are still quoting the long production times for 'worst case' scenario.

Regardless I know it will be worth the wait. In the meantime I will just install everything I've accumulated over this Ohio winter!

Has the price on this exhaust dropped some in the last year or so??

18" res. Loud enough for me and sounds almost stock at cruising speed.

What you will hear is between 1K and 2.5K a very deep (V8) tone and then it transitions to a more V6 sound from 2.5K to 4K and then it transitions yet again to a very exotic supercar sound which is sooooooo addictive. It will put a big grin on your face, even months after the install. The reaction I get from passengers is so awesome. Like drop jaw looks.

The FI TDX exhaust and the RJM clutch pedal makes the Z a fantastic drive. Money very well spent!

I'm about a month in since I got my non-resonated CF CBE and I actually wish it was louder lol. The loudness level has really tamed and I wished it has stayed the way it sounded when it was first installed so I'm surprised you're actually satisfied with the 18" resonator. Anyhow, the exhaust is great and so addicting that it leaves me wanting a deeper and louder tone every time I drive. Too bad I can't install non resonated TP here in California.

I was driving and this old fella on a bike came up next to me. He smiled and said "mine is louder." He barely rev his bike. I guess He like the sound of the fast intentions. ��

Does the CBE sound louder/better inside the cabin or is it better sounding from the outside?

Ah no good! You're gonna love it though. Took the long way home last night and to work this morning haha. Definitely worth the wait. Looking forward to getting these winter tires off so I can have some fun.

Quick question,

What is the difference between the 12 inch VS the 18 Inch resonated pipes.

Getting ready here to put in my order, just wanted to clear up my confusion between the two.

Interior noise might be the only difference.

Thank you for taking an interest in our products. Options and pricing are as follows:

Non Resonated X Pipe: (Standard) $1,160 USD
This X pipe comes without resonators and will be your loudest option. Very exotic sounding and slightly higher pitched. With stock or high flow cats the rasp should be very minimal if any at all.

12" Resonated X Pipe: +$130 USD
The 12" resonators will go in line inside of the x pipe. They will smoothen out the exhaust note and quiet down the interior noise. This option is our middle of the road option in terms of sound level.

18" Resonated X Pipe: +$160 USD
The 18" resonators are our quietest option. They will cut the most interior noise out as well as give you the smoothest exhaust note. Even though this is the quietest option we have, it is still a large improvement over the stock exhaust note.

NOTE: The resonators are strictly noise canceling devices and DO NOT hinder the performance at all.

Polished Stainless Steel Mufflers: (Standard)
This is our standard option. The mufflers will have a mirror finish to them. Given the angle that the mufflers sit, they are very noticeable from behind the car.

Carbon Fiber Mufflers: +$300 USD
The upgrade of the Carbon Fiber mufflers will give you three changes.
1) They are a combined weight of 6 pounds lighter than the Stainless Steel mufflers.
2) The overall decibel level is higher by roughly 5%-8% over the Stainless Steel mufflers.
3) The aesthetics are completely different. Where the Stainless Steel mufflers attract a lot of attention, the Carbon Fiber mufflers blend in much more. At night they look black.

I've watched hundreds of FI exhaust videos within the past 3 months, today I finally get to hear the sound in person! It's amazing woohoo :tup:

That really depends, keep in mind that we also manufacture exhaust products for many other vehicle makes and models.

All of our exhaust products are hand built on a first come first serve basis. We factor all of our different makes/models and other projects into our estimated lead time when your order is placed.

We always do our best to meet, and in most cases, exceed our projected lead times.

OH MY GOODNESS...#1348 here just installed my fast intentions and took the Z out for a spin. I had no idea it was going to sound THIS nice!!! The low deep rumble you get at idle and low rpms with this exhaust made me feel like I had a V8 under the hood. I didn't wanna go too hard on her before heat cycling, but I've heard the higher RPM's bring the exotic sound out. I had extremely high expectations after all the reading I did during the wait period, and this system EXCEEDED those expectations. For those wondering, I went with the non resonated SS option. I do have berk HFC's as well, so I can't comment on how it sounds with the stock cats.

So after having an FI exhaust since I pretty much got the car 3 years ago, I heard it for the first time today. Well, I've heard it like standing beside it, but never out on the road. My girlfriend and I had to swap cars this morning so she's in the Z. As I was coming back from lunch, she drove by my office on her way to lunch. Damn is sounds good. Now I know why everyone looks. LOL! Loud, but not that obnoxious import-racer loud, and nice 'pop pop pop' scavenging as she slowed for a turn.

I will give you a call on Monday. I was able to finally see the exhaust. It looks like I just need the passenger side muffler. Need some oil cooler parts too.
