Is anyone using the 12" res and RTP combo? I'd def. Like to see some more videos on. It. Also it seems like more people are using HFC than the test pipes.. I'm guessing emissions?

Well after months of researching specs, video clips, reviews, prices, etc., I finally placed my order! I went with the 18" resonators, stainless steel system. Now 3 months of waiting patiently...
And if you haven't seen the updated FI website, check it out. It was very easy to navigate and use, and made ordering a breeze! |

hi everyone, this is it i want to place an order but holding me back of the CF non reso will be too loud? or the CF 18" will be too quiet? i've watched the videos but couldnt justify if its too loud in person.

CF cans do not affect the volume, just the note.
|
this slipped my mind. when I got my carbon fiber exhaust installed, the machanic said " the clear coat will fade." is this true??
|
First I have heard of this being an issue. Pretty sure there has not been any cases of CF cans deteriorating in any way.

Fast Intentions exhaust is here! (continued)

Not to worry. We've sold hundreds carbon fiber mufflers over the years with no reports of fading. I personally had carbon fiber mufflers on my car for almost 3 years. They looked as good as the first day that Tony installed them. - Kevin |
I have 40-50k miles on my cf cans and not one bit of fading or issues. One baby rock chip on the leading edge of the one can but that's it after all this time.

Or try F.I.'s "FP Option" |

Finally just ordered mine! :D Went with 12" resonators, stainless steel. I know the wait will be worth it, I just hope it goes by somewhat quickly. The new website is so much better!

Pulled the trigger just now, Number 1387.!

61 degrees yesterday so I got to drive my Z with the windows down. Finally I get to hear what everyone on the outside of the car hears. OMG, I REALLY LOVE THE SOUND!!!
It is well worth the wait time, money and install effort! Had a close call this morning, a radar trap was set up down the street from where I live. The Passport saved me! The guy in front of me got caught. One of the cops pulled out and followed me for several miles. I think he was just enjoying the sound......... |

I noticed on their website that they have an option for nismo now. i don't recall them having that when i ordered mine a couple of years ago. does this mean that the tips extend out more? it fit perfect on my Z but i got a 2015 nismo and swapped it to that but the tips don't come out all the way.

I'm #1320. Had mine installed couple weeks ago. I tried but couldn't break some nuts loose. Nothing I say hasn't been said before but figured I'd give them F.I. some well deserved appreciation. I also ordered the oil cooler and installed it too. These guys were amazing through the whole thing! I would buy every part I could from these guys!
First is the wait. No lie, no sugar coat, it freaking SUCKS! Especially towards the end. I just ordered it and forgot about it. I would do it all over again. I have Non Resonated Carbon Fiber. I am so freaking glad I went with this. I paid good money and waited an eternity so I could hear my exhaust and I would have been extremely disappointed if it was any quieter! For me personally I can't imagine going with resonators. Only if you were going to change the Cats then maybe and MAYBE if it's a daily. Everyone's different. I will admit it does have a tiny bit of drone ONLY at certain RPM's in certain gears. 60 MPH in 6th = drone. 80 MPH in 6th = 0 drone. Basically my experience is lower speed, higher gear, lower RPM = a little tiny bit of very tolerable drone IMO. The sound is addicting! I am in love with my car now. I think I burn twice as much gas now just because I'm living in high RPM's. When I first called Kevin asking about the drone I told him that I was the guy who turns the radio off so I can hear the exhaust and he was like "you definitely need to go with Non Resonated." Point is, just like everyone else has said, if you like to hear your exhaust go with Non Res. If you're worried at all about the drone, go with 18" and call it a day. My wife hasn't complained 1 time about drone and she really does have a vagina! Just sayin! Give these guys your business, you won't be disappointed! |

I got rear-ended on the way home today. The FI exhaust is toast. Help a fellow and let me know what I can do. Do I just need to order a whole new exhaust? I want to.
|
I would or find a good used one, or get a good cheap used one and save your money so you can get a FI 3" when you get the TT.
