Went with the 18 resonated with SS mufflers. Its a perfect street setup. Exhaust tone is low and deep. No drone what's so every. This is the best mod I've done to my car and I love my Hks coilovers and stillen gen 3 intake but this is so much better. Power is a little shocking. The car wants to break loose anytime I floor it in 1st or 2nd gear. In having to respect my z a bit more in the turns. Also best customer service I've ever experienced. Thank you Fast Intentions.

any dos/donts on install? saw a utube guy and he removed the 2 rear hanger supports from frame to ease removal?

Mysilverz 12-13-2015 12:31 AM

Just that, unbolt the hangers with the exhaust and then move the hangers.

Mysilverz 12-14-2015 08:41 AM

So a friend of mine Dynoed his stock 370 yesterday and got between 273-278 between his three pills. I ran mine with just the stillen gen 3 intake and the fast intentions catback exhaust. I Dynoed between 300-306.6 Hp. So around a 28 whp gain from stock. The majority of the power came from the exhaust. Just thought I'd post and let everyone know. Ill post the graph in a bit.

GOBLUE 12-14-2015 08:49 AM

Nice gains for 2 relatively simple bolt-ons!

My fast intentions test pipes are sitting in my garage right now. We are going to install them in a week or two and dyno right after install. Ill post the results.

I called FI last Friday and they told me my exhaust was to be made this week so there is a good chance that Santa will deliver it just in time. I hope it will fit under the tree, no seriously, I'm going to put it under the tree. What could be better than to wake up Christmas morning and find a FI CBE? What? :happydance:

its been awhile since iv been on this thread, well yesterday i heard a rear clanking noise and it turns out one of my exhaust hangers broke off, looks like the weld wasnt strong enough so i have to get it rewelded. Im not to sure if fast intentions has resolved this issue but i remember happening to someone else back in 2012.

Hey man, sorry for the break! Though we have encountered this in the past, it has been exceptionally rare considering the number of systems we have sold and installed.

For the future, if one of our welds break, give us a call prior to getting it repaired.

thanks.

( Click to show/hide )

as tony said its very rare. I actually had one of mine break off as well but I do live in PA with some pretty bumpy roads I take often so I basically did stress testing on them lol

SwissCheese 12-14-2015 09:12 PM

So I have FI resonated test pipes and catback (w/ 18" resonators). I've been thinking of getting a Stillen Gen 3 intake (or maybe the new Z1 intake).

How vital is a tune with all three mods?

I live in Iowa, and there are pretty much no 370Z-experienced tuners nearby. I've considered doing the ECUTek eTune option (and may consider doing it at some point), but I'd much rather have a tune done in person.

Mysilverz 12-14-2015 09:40 PM

I currently have the stillen gen3 intake and the fast intentions CBE on my car. In two weeks im installing my non resonated test pipes and dynoing the car to see both the power gain as well as the a/f ratio. Ill make sure to post them to give you an idea about how nessacery a tune will be.

You should do a tune with two breather mods or more in order to get the best results from them.

I just got a UPS notification that my exhaust will be delivered on the 23rd! Just in time to put under the tree!!:happydance:

I'm planning on doing the install the week between Christmas and New Year. A good friend is coming over to help with the exhaust, sway bars, rear Fog light and backup camera installs. Dang, I hope I have enough beer.:yum:

After the first of the year I will start working on the video/sound clips using my high end recording gear. The plan is to measure the sound level stock with a calibrated sound level meter and then do the same with the new exhaust (stock CATs). I don't see any point of recording the stock system as we all know what it sounds like.

#1284...............finally!

Thanks Fast Intentions!!!!

My good friend, Kevin told me end of January first of February. I received my oil cooler about a week ago but haven't even opened the box because of me being out of town so much. My plan is to install both at the same time anyway. Too bad I'm not closer to Memphis so we could hang out and get some grease monkey time!

for u guys that installed this urselves..there is an 8 stall lift garage for the DIYS, $25 hour, 3 hour minimum,,,,they even loan tools..is it better to do this than under a car on ur back
#1303 next 2-3 weeks

This was the simplest easiest bolt on I've done to my car. Once you get it up high on four jackstands it's a cake walk. Jacking the car up is literally the hardest part of the install.

Great to hear that the install went well. Mine is scheduled to go on Dec 29th after all of the family leaves. It should be easy for me now that I have the Ranger lifts. You can check the Ranger lifts out over in the DYI section. Link is http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...ft-system.html

Elmo,

Glad to hear from you. I hope you're enjoying your exhaust system and long tube headers.

There is no need to worry; we use 304 stainless steel in building our exhaust components. 304 stainless is proven to resist rust due to the chromium and nickel properties within the metal. It's quite possible that you are noticing road debris sediments that can sometimes build up on the metal while driving.

When you have a moment, please send an email to kevin@fastintentions.com with pictures so that I can see what you're referring to.

Thank you & Happy Holidays!

- Kevin

There it is. Loved the exhaust, super easy install. I did not use air tools and it took me about 2 hours. No, I did not put it under the tree, but I slept with it after that 4 month wait. Thank you for everything Kevin, I never talked to Tony, but thank you too Tony!!! lol. Next will be the long tube headers, but that has to wait little bit. I know my car is dirty, there is construction where I work.
