I have 2015 with 18" resonators, everything else stock. No drone and absolutely love the sound.

Mysilverz 01-10-2016 03:08 PM

You won't have any drone at all. I barely have any with mine with the 18 resonaters and non resonated test pipes. I'll post videos of the car with and without the test pipes on the dyno of you would like.

Thanks buddy! would appreciate if you could post the video to make a final decision on this :tiphat:

TBatt 01-11-2016 08:20 AM

Zero drone. Sounds almost stock until you put a load on the engine. Going up a hill will cause an increase in the sound level but it is a nice deep tone. You will love it! Watch my video to get a real life sound experience. My Z is also a DD and the new sound just makes it more fun to drive.

So this is with the stillen gen 3 intake and fast intentions 18 inch resonated cat back. Obviously this is under full load but you can tell its nice deep and smooth but in no way too loud. Since I've installed mine I've made multiple 6 hot trips in my car with no drone on the interstate. Oh yeah she put down 306 on a dyno jet. This is SAE corrected.

Mysilverz 01-11-2016 10:53 AM

So this is my car after adding the fast intentions non resonated test pipes. It's louder yes but not nearly as much as I was afraid of. There is some rasp under full throttle but it's really not bad at all. I imagine with the resonated test pipes there wouldn't be any rasp at all. So things to note, the car made and additional 11whp to a total of 317whp. More importantly saw gains all the way through the power band in the range of 20whp and 15 ft/lbs of torque. Torque was 265.63. I do love how the car has a bit of that growling back fire when I let off the throttle under load. Oh and when I saw a little flame shoot out of the exhaust I had the biggest smile. A/f ratios are spot on. Once I install my Z1 ported plenum and ported lower intake manifold I will be getting an ecutek tune. I'll have dynos for each addition. I hope this helps guy and major props to fast intentions. Their is no one else I would rather do business with.

Mysilverz 01-11-2016 10:54 AM

Oh and these are the first videos I've ever uploaded here. If there are any issues please let me know.

Thank you for the repost and sorry about that. The first video is with the 18 resonated cat back and stock cats.

The second video is with the non resonated test pipes. Playing the videos back to back you can really hear the difference.

Thanks for the videos!! made up my mind .. putting down the order :icon17:
Now its the matter of patience till it arrives :rofl2:

I'm glad I could help. I've had no regrets with their product and I get complements on the system all the time. While I was on the dyno there were several LS guys waiting to tune their cars. You know they all pulled up CTSVs and Camaros. I even got complements from several of them about the sound of the exhaust. I took a lot of pride in that. These weren't exactly import fans.

barncobob 01-12-2016 05:40 AM

supposed to get mine today, ive had the old one off 2 days now, feel like a kid on Christmas morning:excited:

Mysilverz 01-12-2016 07:56 AM

I felt the same way.

Welcome to the club!! You are going to love the sound and the additional power.

Several of us from work went to lunch yesterday and when we were ready to leave they wanted me to "get on it". So I did!! From a slow pull out to the road I nailed it at about 5mph. When I hit 4K rpm the tires broke loose (they don't like cold weather). I went to second and they held on till about 5K and the traction control light started blinking but I managed to get the tires to hook up enough to make some noise. After we got back to work several of them commented that it was not loud and blaring like they thought it would be. It was a smooth but powerful sound. I got 100% approval from all of the motor heads!! :happydance:

The long way home is my preferred route now......:driving:

Why didn't you go with the non-resonated x-pipe?

If you want to change that put on a set of their test pipes. Trust me it's angry now. For example my car now shoots a small amount of flame out of the exhaust when I run it wide open to red line and then let off.

I use my Z for trips with my wife. She would not approve of the drone, heck she barely approves of me!

The car sounds BETTER than I expected and has enough sound to say "I ain't stock" without shouting "look at me".

I expect an increase in sound after the SC goes on in June.

I got cold weather traction issues now;gonna be worse w/more power. 50 degrees this afternoon on a sunny day.
Leaving in D (D-is for Drift) with traction control off; Skates off the line, bumps rev limiter & shifts to second-continues skating, bumps rev limiter & shifts to 3rd...then finally Bites.

That's the same set-up that I went with (except for the extra bungs)! It sounds great!

I have been tempted to swap out the 18" resonators for either the 12's or the non-res. I'm just hesitant because I live in a HOA and I leave for work early (around 6:30 am). I don't want to be that guy who wakes everybody up in the morning (and then have the HOA get mad at me).

I Normally leave out between 4:30 & 5am ; in a rural area-but lot's of loud 4x4's around here

#1303, finished installing yesterday, have done 2 heat runs..Sounds great. A little more of a job but im 67 and the car was just above my chest, 4post lift rack would be ideal..
I sold the stock CB to the local Nissan recycler for $185, hes happy and im real happy,i thought it might become a boat anchor...:driving:

I'm going on 62 so I know what you mean! Take a look at the Ranger lift http://www.quickjack.com/shop-quickj...e-package.html

This system works great. I have a review over in the DYI section http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...ft-system.html

I bought it on a special for $895 with free shipping.

Great idea about finding a Nissan recycler. Enjoy the new sound!!!

cooltoy 01-27-2016 11:06 PM

I am pretty sure there is.

There are a couple for sale in the For Sale section.

Yes there is. We are producing more, but our influx of orders has also gone up. If you would like a formal quote, discuss options or place an order, please feel free to give us a call.
