Glad to hear that you are enjoying it. The only reason your MPG has dropped is due to the fact that your foot is in it more!

Hey F.I. Inc. Hearing a lot of great things from your product! I'm in the market for a CBE system. I have a 15 NISMO 370z. Will your product fit? I ask because the rear bumper on the Nismo is different. Thanks.

cooltoy 10-11-2015 11:12 AM

There is a new, never installed one for sale for those who do not want to wait.

Thank you for taking an interest in our products.

You are correct, the 2015 & 2016 NISMO 370Z's have a much deeper bumper than previous years.

We build each of our exhaust systems specific for the year and trim model of the vehicle. We build the 2015-2016 NISMO exhaust systems with a bit more length in the exhaust tips to ensure perfect fitment with the new bumper.

I get what your saying here however part of what makes F.I. unique is that they aren't a large corporation and everything is HAND MADE in house. Quality over quantity IMO.

Love my F.I. exhaust but love my TT kit even more! :driving:

the only way something better will come out is if FI releases a new exhaust setup.

Non-Res CF Catback

#1250 Non-Res CF. After the initial install, it was LOUD haha. After driving the car for 2 weeks, it appears the car has either quieted down or I just got used to it. I don't regret going with the non-res. When you're holding speed or idling, you barely hear the exhaust but when you get on it :rofl2: it is quite noticeable. Cold starts on the other hand :icon17: sounds amazing. At the end of the day it was worth the 4 month wait for the exhaust, thanks FI.

Coleman,

I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying your exhaust.

The car looked amazing; it's the first Chicane Yellow that I've seen in person.

Is it really worth getting this exhaust? After all, it's a V6 which will never sound that good anyway. I don't get it :-)

I guess if you're looking for more flow and going FI...

Is it really worth getting any exhaust then?

It's unfortunate they don't give more attention to the stock exhaust. Instead the consumer has to spend ~$1,500 to get a slight improvement in performance and sound. But it seems all automotive companies do this. :-( The new 6 cylinder BMW "M" series cars sound awful.

You can thank strict U.S. Emissions for all of that....

The numbers speak for themselves....This is the most popular and high demanded exhaust in the 370Z market....I say this and I'm not an F.I. Exhaust owner....I for one went with a different brand out of experience and preference....Best believe that if the exhaust I have wasn't available I would have definitely went with this exhaust.

Ok. My last comment. This thread started in 2009. Why can't they ramp up production to reduce the time the buyer has to wait? Just curious.

cooltoy 11-01-2015 10:03 PM

Lamborghini was asked the same question once.

Because they have no need to. They are by far the best exhaust for the platform and people don't seem to mind the wait.

The answer to this is because it's a custom made exhaust....and Tony/F.I. have strict quality Control standards. ...Any good company that stamps it's name.on things have these standards.....If they mass produced these exhaust systems like others that u can buy off the shelf it would no longer be the exhaust it is...

they have done that and moved into a much larger facility.

however the product is so good the demand has gone up as well.

therefore wait times have remained the same based on higher demand but also meeting the massive demand and keeping production as steady as possible.

also you can't rush perfection my friend. if you want some quick and cheap exhaust go spend $200 on some ebay universal fit garbage.
