Thanks bro! I couldn't be happier with the tone. The sound definition of the non-resonated X is just amazing, and the Resonated HFCs just adds to it rather then taking anything away from the perfect tone.

The largest differences I noticed immediately with power, the shifts are soooo much easier and smoother since the rev limiter doesn't drop as quickly. I had previous experience with my G37 and my FI combo, but when I bought my Nismo, I immediately noticed the lack of low end. The SECOND I drove the car out of my garage after completing the install, the low end TQ was back which resulted in my rev's being that much quicker to shift.

The video was shot with a digital camera just sitting on the ground. I located the spot I wanted record it quite a while ago, perrrrfect for avoiding sound distortion. Its almost a valley which really assisted in being able to hear everything from miles away.

All you've got to do is read back pretty much anywhere thru this thread & you'll see that the exceptional quality fit & finish combined unmatched customer service & some of the highest CBE gains with multiple options puts F.I. at the top of so many people's list. ;)

I think your looking at about 4 to 5 syztems a week. My window is 4-18 Nov so Tony hit centermass on that. I would go with the dates Tony gave you, they seem pretty solid to me.

Also remember he builds exhausts for other types of cars and has built what looks like one of the top TT systems available.

Hey, Ranger it appears that will have the same setup as me. Are you going to post some audio. Man I can't wait for this exhaust to get here.

Where you on jackstands in the last vid?

ZForce 11-08-2013 12:41 PM

Hey Tony, I am getting rattling from the difuser. Does it look like the exhaust fitment is right? I have the EVO-R difuser.

I would say it is too close. Needs a little bit of a gap. You will need to add some washers to each of the screws on the hanging bracket.

ZForce 11-08-2013 01:13 PM

^ Thanks, my mechanic was thinking the same. Just checking with the guru - Tony to ensure we do not have to disassemble the entire exhaust system and start over. We did follow the instructions.

You need to space the tips down to create clearance between the top of them and the diffuser. It should not take much. There is no need to loosen the exhaust system to do this.

Thanks, Tony

no no it wAS on a dyno. because of the body kit with no spacers, they had to slightly lift the one side so it wouldn't rub:tiphat:

Rangerz 11-08-2013 08:54 PM

FYI everyone tracking ypor systems. #835 shipped today:happydance:

On your invoice under PO I put your build number. Right side of the invoice about 1/3 of the way down.

Thanks, Tony

Rangerz 11-17-2013 02:19 AM

This is a little video of a lap out at Miller Motor Sports park today. Raining with periods of snow falling this morning with a few breaks in the weather.

The event is run as a one lap time attack with two groups alternating every 30 min. We had 2 morning practice sessions then after lunch 2 afternoon sessions to determine the winners for each group. It was allot of fun but, you really had to tip toe around to keep from sliding out. The run on the video was of the driest of the day and the spin at the end was from my first practice session.

I just installed the Fast Intentions HFC's and a 12" resonated TDX with the CF cans. I can honestly say that I had the best sounding exhaust today. While I'm sure others are good as well I have this one so it's the best  Thought this would give you guys yet another video to listen to while you wait for your systems.:tiphat:

Sounds Beefy Man! Nive Video and very Great Clear Sound too

Super Werty 11-17-2013 09:27 AM

no other mods? mic position? sounds good!

wackjum 11-17-2013 11:24 AM

I just installed mine yesterday.

I have a sport+touring 7AT. My mods are K&N drop-ins, MAF tubes, and now the TDX 18" with CF resonators. I have a light touch from riding motorcycles and I can tell there is a definite power increase. Coming out of my neighborhood, I am used to a specific amount of gas to get me to the center median and the car surprised me when it moved a lot quicker than I am used to.

I have some professional recording equipment. I will try to get a good sound clip sometime next weekend for others to reference my specific setup.

One more thing, looking at RangerZ, I'm amused at how similarly we're both setup. We both have similar mods, near similar TDX orders (CF cans with resonators, but he has 12" and I have 18") and we were one digit away from one another in the orders.

wackjum 11-17-2013 11:31 AM

Oh yeah one more thing. I have noticed a definite increase in ghetto racer's attentions.

3 cars alone tried to race me on a 4 mile stretch of road as I was going from my house to the grocery store last night:

A first gen Toyota Avalon, a 4th gen Honda Prelude, and a Scion TC. They were doing the most obnoxious things to try and trigger a race; something I have not experienced in the Z all these years of ownership. And then they'd storm off or cut me off violently when I didn't respond. So if there's a downside to the exhaust so far, this would be it.

jlw2546 11-17-2013 03:04 PM

After hearing these exhausts again I am getting so impatient. Tony, C'mon man. Hook a brotha up early. My Z is way to quiet. I'm ready to wake up the neighbors.
