That was the one that was sold to me, which I modified to fit. I was told it was for the 370, it was actually 350 R-tune

In fact the reservoir and brackets pictured look identical to the AEM units. The only difference I see between these and the AEM intakes is the placement of the MAF (AEM places the maf very near the intake filters) and the addition of water bypass valves. With that being said, front bumper will not need to be removed to service filters, but wheels and inner fender liners will need to be.
The Key word in this post is "almost". Its possible that nismo did look for a company to copy. Stillen and AEM are the two most recognized intakes by nissan corp. But I think its possible that NISMO may have tweaked a design to run more efficiently? Also the fact that the bumper doesn't need to come off for a CAI of this length on a 370z says a lot. I know that most guys want the G3, but I'm am a strong opponent of taking my whole front off once a year to clean or replace air filters. Fitment of the fender will get shoddy quick. I plan to keep this car so the best bang for the buck while keeping the integriity of my car is the main goal.
But after thinking about it... I think I jumped the gun by wanting these. What's the point if FI is my goal? I will just keep my intake hoses.

Though everyone seems to like the Stillen G3's... I'm sold on this intake: The Nismo R-Tune intake is going to be my first mod. I just placed my order for $539. I like not having to cut into the frame as well as not having to remove the front fascia to change the filters. Plus if you look at the design and their rational of placing the filters in the fender well... I think Nismo got clever on this one.... imitation and tweeking AEM and Stillen design. My 2012 NISMO should be broken in by the time I get it installed.

Awesome! Take some pics once you get them.

Also, having a water bypass filter is golden, imo. Hopefully they perform as good as or better than the G3's.

Well, where did you get it for $539.00? I'm sure that you'd like the rest of us to know, so we can also save a few dollars in the process!

Default Nismo CAI

$539 + Shipping No California Tax
At Nissan Autosports

For sure I'll give feedback on the vendor and review the install and performance... no dyno though.... my 370Z Nismo is not my day job unfortunately so it may take a while.

I had this intake installed recently on my 2010 NISMO. Unfortunately (?) I also had the z1 HFCs installed at the same time. It is hard to tell what the intake did, or did not do. Overall the car feels like it has a lot more pep, and the overall feels a little less uptight.

The quality of the kit is pretty good, but nothing special. The windshield washer reservoir gets relocated to the front end, driver's side near the radiator. The sensor does NOT get reconnected, so for now I am getting "washer low" messages every time I drive the car, which is annoying.

The filters are pretty easily accessible and don't require you to remove the front end of the car. Overall it looks pretty clean, the only annoyance being the constant warning light because of the washer fluid.

I'm going to be taking it to the track at the end of the month, and plan on doing a dyno run at some point.

Hey thanks that is really useful, especially the issue with the washer sensor, I am not sure I like that. I too would find that quite annoying in a brand new car. After doing more research the other issue is that the NISMO intake is not CARB approved in California but the Stillen G3 is.... so I am rethinking my order...
