BUT, if power was still climbing on the 293whp pull and the run was stopped at 7100 prematurely, then the gains are slightly false and more than likely less than what we are all going with at this point.

It's not that huge of an rpm difference, but I do see your point. The graph looks pretty linear though and pretty decent amount of gain looks very plausible.
