Your rates are high because you probably drive like a A hole and got speeding tickets and also maybe some accidents with in the last 5 years. Your rates are bassed off of your age, vehical worth, driving record, and location such as population and estimated accidents per year. He does not have any impact on your rates.
Geico does NOT have a plan for putting non dot parts on a car that are susceptible to damages like this.
I'll speak my mind when someone is being a theif, because if he does in fact file a claim that's exactly what he is.
If you decide to mod your car (which I'm all for), you should take responsibly for the fact that repairs are inevitable. I've been in this game long enough to see hundreds of jackasses rip companies off making them warranty repair blown motors because they cranked boost, or some crap like that. Stealing is stealing, it doesn't make it right because it's from a big business.

And not that I have to justify myself, but I'm 31 years old and haven't had a speeding ticket or accident in 10 years smart ***.

LOL mechanical break down will cover and op is right comprehensive will cover this also. Don't tell me what geico will do I have a part time job there and my girl is full time there in the claims department. I am not going to sit here and argue with you. You are wrong and it is as simple as that, so move on with your life. Find a way to contribute or If your rates are that high that your in here accusing him of being the reason then I have doubt to believe that the last accident/speeding ticket or any moving violation was 10 years or longer. I am 26 and I pay 106 each month and thats for two 2 cars(my Z and xterra) which both have 250 deductible on collision, and comprehensive.

It's people like you that bring the site worth down. Here is this guy asking for help and advice because he didn't see the puddle and you call him ignorant? Geico has Mechanical breakdown coverage that people pay a premium for every month for situations like this. Sounds to me like youre the ignorant one for offering nothing but dumb *** remarks like "youre the reason my rates are high"

Is the injen intake really that low on the bumper? I was thinking about getting this before I heard about all these incidents.

@tbox
It's just part of the game. I just got back from the dealer for a valid warranty repair. My radio was malfunctioning. The tech came back and said they wouldn't replace the radio because the problem was intermittent and wasn't malfunctioning at the time. In other words, they didn't believe me. You should have seen their faces when I pulled up the video showing the malfunction. Priceless. Long story short, my new deck comes next week. Dealers want to make money like you not wanting to spend money.

At the same time a elderly lady next to me was getting service done. She said her 2009 Altima was getting poor gas milage. I thnk she said she had about 15k miles on the odo. The service tech said she needed an air filter change, throttle body cleaning and injector cleaning for a discounted price of $300 plus tax. It might not be "stealing" but I'd be pissed if someone tried to pull that crap with me.

The injen intakes put them down low in the bumper under the head light area.
