You put a snorkel on your car to scoop up water and you drive your car thru a flood and you expect someone else to pay for your ignorance?

NO! if the car was stock there would be no problem or damage but you changed it so yea, it is your fault

Hopefully you're ok! I killed my GSR in 08' via hydrolocking on 408 (all that construction didn't let standing water drain out well). Very sad day for me :\

Before you take it to the dealer...I would suggest to swap back to the OEM intakes. If the dealer sees the CAI and is not mod friendly...then they are more than likely to deny your claim and it will be out of pocket to repair any possible damages. Even more so if you try to have insurance cover any damages.

You should immediately move out of Florida. It is quite obviously not a CAI friendly state.

Yes. I had this happen to my 350. I did more than just get a little water in it. I had to have my engine replaced along with one catalytic converter, one O2 sensor, BCM module, and assorted other parts.

Trust me. I ain't makin' this up. This is why I'm now driving a 370. Three months of Hell.

Yikes, another water issue with Injens. I am glad the car seems to be running ok all things considered, no harm in getting a compression test done just to make sure.

If compression is good and pretty even on all cylinders, you are fine.

Actually, anyone know what compression readings we should be getting?

It's really risky having the intake down by the road in FL -- we get horrendous flooding all the time!

Hopefully your motor is okay -- you might consider swapping your current intake for either a G3 (filters high up in bumper) or OEM airbox (which has built in cold air ducts!), high flow panel filters, and smooth intake tubes -- believe it or not, that will get you within a few whp of the pricier CAI set-ups.

If your compression readings are off, put it back to stock and take it to the dealer. If you are lucky thye might just warranty it -- if so they'll just replace the whole head (nonserviceable).

Good luck!

yeah it's not valve you could have bent the rods, damaged the head gasket broken any number of fasteners, can't remember where but there was site with a good section on hydrolocked engines one had streched the head studs lift the cylinder an 1/8th inch and sprayed a fine line of oil like a laser all around a dyno test cell, be really really happy if ****'s not broke.

Good point on the rods -- I just figured if a rod was spun, he'd hear "tok tok tok" at idle as a dead give away. If head gasket blow it'll probably start overheating -- are you saying it shouldn't bend a valve?
