I'm getting my set this upcoming wednesday :excited: I ordered thru wesellcarparts and was given a 2 weeks ETA which is exactly what it ended up being. The customer service with wesellcarparts was far above and beyond what most are getting at Corsports. :tiphat:

Pelican170 04-15-2011 01:18 PM

I asked them for an update since I never got one from the other day. I will post back when they reply... If they still dont know, im canceling and ordering from WSCP.com. I dont care if i have to wait another 2 weeks or whatever, i am at my limit with Corsport...

Pelican170 04-15-2011 02:47 PM

Just canceled with Corsport and put an order in with WSCP.com. Apparently they have a couple in stock... Screw Corsport. haha watch them ship them to me now and have double sets haha.

RockStarKick 04-15-2011 04:33 PM

I just got an email and tracking number from Corsport, they just shipped my tubes with an estimated delivery date of Tuesday..

Bodytechz 04-15-2011 07:18 PM

I received my shipping notice from WSCP.com yesterday, they are finally on their way. WSCP is the way to go guys!

I ordered my set thru wesellcarparts because of the bad customer service experience from Corsport. I feel I must give wesellcarparts props for the excellent and prompt communication so far :)

WSCP has been great on my orders, so no issue with them. I canceled my order through Corsport, but they were very professional in handling it and very upfront on what they didn't know.

birdmanx1 04-18-2011 07:20 AM

Nice, glad to hear that man, we are finally getting our alternative to CAI

Thanks Bodytechz, I figured UPS will have to launch some tracing once WSCP makes the request. I'm not too worried as WSCP has been highly helpful in the process and I'm sure all with work out in the end... D*MN UPS still; didn't want this after the little wait.

hmmm maybe UPS left your order with a neighbor? Didn't they leave a slip on your door? :ugh2:

birdmanx1 04-21-2011 10:07 AM

I'll be d*mned, I stepped outside the garage and what do I see? The UPS guy came back and dropped my set in the driveway. (The delivery confirmation they issue yest. was not correct) At least I got my set :happydance: Kudos to WSCP once again for the effective communication yesterday eve and today about the delivery issue.

Thanks, yeah, I decided to go ahead and remove it, made the job much easier and it was no big deal to remove it, just took another 10 mins.

WeSellCarPart 04-22-2011 06:35 PM

I have 1 left - I had 3 pm's yesterday so folks who pm'ed, please get back to me asap before its sold out again. ETA or next shipment is approx 2 weeks so not too bad :)

Pelican170 04-25-2011 01:57 PM

Haven t done my install yet, most likely this week. For those of you who have done this, do you have to remove the strut bar? I saw it also says to remove the head cover but i wouldn't think that's necessary. I wanna do this as quick as possible haha.

I did mine with only removing the front half of the engine cover . it would have been easier without the strut bar but i left it on .

I did mine this weekend, I did remove the strut bar, as I was also doing HFC's. The passenger side was harder than the drivers side... The drivers side seemed to fit a bit better..

One_Quick_Z 04-25-2011 03:29 PM

I would remove the strut bar save yourself the pain :)

Ok, really stupid question haha, feel free to point and laugh after... when putting the strut bar back on, do the bolts need to be super tight, torqued on or will a standard ratchet do the trick?? Im paranoid about things lol.

Go ahead, laugh away lol:D

I'm sure there's a specific torque spec. Check out the service manual.

One_Quick_Z 04-25-2011 04:24 PM

Yes there is a specific tq value, but I would say just use a regular socket and then check it in a day or two of driving :)

Pelican170 04-25-2011 07:13 PM

Well its clear that you guys are way more mechanically inclined than I am. After 2 hrs i still cant get 1 of the hoses on, and i stripped the bolt hole that holds down the breathing hose piece. The hps hose just seems to be crimping where it isnt round all the way, but causes on oval spot..... annoyed...

p.s. i also couldnt get the strut bar off due to not having a hollow ratchet bit for that 1 bolt...

azn370z 04-25-2011 07:20 PM

You should fit the tube on the metal part first then squeeze together the other end of the tube, push it down until it wraps around the plastic intake, then squeeze and pull the rest of the rubber tube until it wraps around the top of the Intake. Not sure if that made sense but I actually didn't think the tube would fit either.

Ill give it another try tomorrow. Going to buy a good ratchet set to take off the strut bar first... thanks.
