I called them today and yes they are still back ordered. Mine was back ordered since Feb. I just cancelled the order and ordered the Injen (nismo edition) duals from them. Great people to deal with, great deals just have to wait for the Injen's too. really the down fall here is that I have to get rid of the K&N filter that I previously ordered.. hope you guys enjoy your mod when you get them..

Installed mine yesterday after a 3 day wait ;-0 lol

Def crisper above 4500 and more power up top, mid range response better to, I am all about 'bang for buck'

Tossing up now between an M370 intake mani or a lightweight braille battery and some pulleys.....

Endgame 03-18-2011 06:20 PM

works great with the M370.....

KB2 03-19-2011 11:44 AM

Installed mine the other night. Fairly simple. I did it without removing the strut bar which deff makes it more difficult. Feels smoother driving and a little bit more of a pull

One_Quick_Z 03-19-2011 12:20 PM

WOW ^ I tried but gave in to the strut bar and removed it for the install :)

DAN

It takes all of 15-20 minutes to remove the bar...just do that and it makes the install a lot easier.

Cmike2780 03-19-2011 12:56 PM

Maybe it's a stupid question, but isn't the tube "accordioned" to allow for engine movement. Are these tubes soft enough to allow for engine vibration without coming loose?

One_Quick_Z 03-19-2011 01:18 PM

^Yes

They are very pliable. I haven't had any issues.

Thanks. I'm seriously thinking about getting these.

azn370z 03-19-2011 06:21 PM

Installed mine, for a short time I wasn't sure if I could get the tubes to fit.

kensnismo 03-19-2011 09:37 PM

put mine on thursday went on in about 30 min. left brace in place.haven't had time to test yet will do so tomorrow.

6spd 03-20-2011 09:38 AM

hps's profits must have doubled since this thread started!

Cmike2780 03-20-2011 10:41 AM

I was going to get the COBB tunes a few months back, but then they decide to stop making it.

Philipp 03-20-2011 02:48 PM

I finally installed the HPS tubes on Friday and also cleaned the MAF sensors. Since I did both in the same process, i can't tell what makes the difference but the revs are smoother and the car definitely seems to pull stronger than before.
For 120$ (110$ for HPS and 10$ for a MAF cleaner can) you can't go wrong!

Would you care to elaborate more on this Endgame? Planning to get the M370 and any info you have on it including what the HPS post MAF tubes & M370 did, pre/post combination results would be appreciated. Thx.

Cmike2780 03-24-2011 03:00 PM

I just ordered these from CorSport.

Also found this on the HPS website: R&D Vehicles Needed

azn370z 03-24-2011 03:34 PM

I also feel that throttle is more responsive now. I'm glad I got these.

bat6wc 03-27-2011 01:12 AM

anyone try these with some stillen short tubes/K&N cone filters?

I truly think that the stock intake setup is just as good if not better than most of the short intakes.

If you put in some drop ins and go with the smooth tubes you will be within 75% or so of a good CAI with 1/3 of the cost and effort.

6spd 03-27-2011 08:16 AM

one thing i love about the tubes is you retain the stock engine sound, just slighty amplified, whereas with an SRI or CAI you get that, imo, horrid deep whooshing/sucking sound that is just plain artificial sounding.

Cmike2780 03-27-2011 08:50 AM

Corsport has it on backorder. Looks like this thread funneled in more business than they expected. They said it would be about 2 weeks before I get mine.

tonybui 03-27-2011 01:00 PM

Please don't flame me. I've read the whole 10 pages but I didn't see a link for ordering the tubes and K&N drops in

Can anyone please provide me links to buy these 2 items ?? thanks !!!!

Better than that.

The difference between them is about 1.5%.

Bodytechz 03-28-2011 07:50 AM

Can anyone tell me if these will fit on a Nismo? I've already swapped out the stock filters with K&N's. Just got my car on Saturday drove it home from the dealers and changed the filters. Had 26 miles on it when I got it, put 150 on over the weekend. :eekdance:

birdmanx1 03-28-2011 09:06 AM

Our OEM intake hoses are no different than the touring & standard ones. Forum members Chops & Pelican I think have them installed on their nismos :tiphat:

In the mail and to be installed as soon as received. But yes, they are no different than the other 370z's...

WeSellCarPart 03-28-2011 08:55 PM

Bump for HPS. We are a supporting vendor too and authorized dealer for HPS. Downfall is yes, they are back order but ETA is about 10-14 days at this point :)

kensnismo 03-28-2011 10:20 PM

I put them on my nis not hard at all.sounds a littie better going into second seem stronger pull a little more.I LIKE IT

Boost_lee 03-28-2011 10:42 PM

Got mine from Azn370z (thanks man). Might install tonight.

Anyone reset the ecu for this install? Or did you all notice the gains without the reset?

WhiskeyHotel 03-29-2011 10:08 AM

I didn't. Performance change was below the accuracy of my butt dyno - still is. Sounds a bit different at certain RPM.

Boost_lee 03-29-2011 04:34 PM

I ended up doing the reset via the gas pedal method. Ill see if I notice any gains on thursday

Pelican170 03-30-2011 06:53 AM

Ok, Corsport has horrible customer service. Obviously they keep BSing me on how long it will take to receive these tubes. Anyone have an idea of where i can get them elsewhere?

Sorry to hear that Pelican, I deliberately stayed away from CorSport because of the negative reviews on their customer service. I ordered mine through a forum sponsor based in PA.

I ordered the tubes from them yesterday. I'll let you know if I hear anything from them :(
