First off, I'd like to thank Tony, he is truly and upstanding guy and went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. The headers made some very significant gains in hp and torque in the midrange.

On the drive home I was really able to feel the difference. The car pulls harder and doesn't have that split second lag at around 4k rpm. After driving the car for about 400 miles I can now say I am satisfied with the results.

Sebastian at Specialty Z did a great job on the tune. He spent well over four hours making sure everything was perfect. All things considered I had a great time, learned a lot, and made my car a bit faster. Good times.

Relax, I am working on exhaust, headers, PMS and emails today. Running around like a mad man. I need to scan the dyno charts and then post them. I will get to it soon...

Thanks, Tony

BTW- what kind of dyno was your testing done on ? Meaning the brand!

I reccomend the first person that they try human cloning on is Tony, he needs an assistant who works just as much as he does.

You need to really start abbreviating private messages as PMs rather than PMS.

Doesn't look too right if you are working on your PMS.

It was great hanging with you for two days. I am glad that you are satisfied! Customer satisfaction is a HUGE part of the entire equation.

We might have something in the works as far as a cold air intake system. It is very preliminary and Dan and I were only discussing it this morning. However, if it works you will love it. Right now all the details are ultra top secret but I told you I would keep you informed before you left yesterday.

We will be up in Vegas the weekend of June 18th for my party, you know the one. I look forward to hanging and having a drink or two...

Thanks, Tony

Show me some sweet intakes to dissuade me from getting G3's. Don't be like AEM and eff up my sprayer bottle either. Gogogo

Not trying to rain on the parade here, but I have to say that I find the absence of any comment on the impact of these headers on low-end torque and power somewhat conspicuous. What happened on the low end? Please tell me that the gains in the midrange didn't come at a huge expense on the low end. *keeping fingers crossed*

On the contrary, we actually picked up torque and power throughout! At the highest gap for a torque increase it was at 4300 RPM's. We had an increase of 18 FT LBS. A far as power, the highest gap increase was at 4300 as well as 5900 RPM's. That increase was around 15-16 RWH. This is just a tid bit, I promise I will post the dynos soon. As far as the tune, what we were mainly able to do is clean the A/F up which made the car safe. The timing we demanded was kicked back by the ECU and I feel higher octane fuel than our California 91 garbage will help the car perform better!

These numbers are all stock cats vs the LTH's right? what do you expect for gains for people that have test pipes..

So, I guess that confirms that timing advance via "tune" still isn't possible - just fuel maps?

Given VVEL, and how it works, it makes sense that they'd not want anyone tweaking timing, you get a valve too far out there where it shouldn't be, and it'll get bent....
