10 - 11 PSI Boost
460-480 WHP

Planned upgrades and service:
- 340lph fuel pump
- 750cc Fuel Injectors
- GT-R Spark Plugs
- Replacement of all belts (motor and supercharger)
- Replacement of all lubricants

Now the real questions:

1. Individual parts replaced?

- Piston
- Connecting Rods
- ARP main studs
- ARP L19 head studs
- etc.

2. Or even the extreme?

- Brian Crower Stroker Kit (4:07 or 4:37)
BrianCrower.com | RunBC.com // Nissan // VQ35DE

3. Which compression would you with my power / boost (10 - 11 PSI) recommend?

- 11 Stock
- 10.5
- or ... ??

Many Thanks for your help and recommendations

Angry

Hi guys

Time for an update!

I just got the analysis.
The 2 cylinder has no compression and a blow-by.
(See photos)

It's time (after 3 1/2 years) for a general revision of the engine!

Either a gentle Revision (only Cylinder 2)
or an extreme

My desire tends to extremes.
As written in post 1, I would go to a stroker kit.
(see link)

BrianCrower.com | RunBC.com // Nissan // VQ35DE

Type: Brian Crower
VQ37HR 4.34L - Includes 4340 billet crank, 92mm stroke (fully balanced), H-beam Sportsman rods (5,974 c-to-c), and custom pistons (choice of bore / compression).

Piston: CP Pistons-Carrillo
Bore: 96.00mm
Compression: 11.0 to1 or 10.5 to 1

What do the experts here in the forum on my wish list?

Thanks for the support
Ivo

Sorry to hear brother. My previous motor suffered the same from Cyl 2 also. Lot's had to do with tuner. I still have that motor set aside and I am very interested to rebuild or at least tear it down to see what else could be wrong.

GL to you man, It would be awesome to see this build go further.

I would suggest getting another tuner for your next engine.

For a second there I thought Ikea made a compression tester. Sucks to hear hope whatever route you go you get it together in a timely manner, If you do the brian crower kit make sure the shop that does it has done one before, there are multiple instalation issues with that stroker kit that must be adressed during instal. To many times I have heard of shops putting one together and missing some small part of the install. Even heard it a couple times where they didn't clearance the crank-case and the motor couldn't turn over.

I would steer clear from the BC stroker cranks. From what I have been told they very from unit to unit as BC has several different facilities making them for them. To give you and example if you had 5 cars: each car would have a different variation of the same crank... This may put you in a bad spot and future failure. I would stay stock stroke.

I say this next part with great caution: ( I know Im going to get flammed)
GTM does have a several billet cranks on the shelf... I saw them last weekend. They are full billet and 100x's better Quality than the BC. They had the two at the shop and the BC looks like a stock cast...

Good luck with the build!
