Also, with your Defi gauges, how did you deal with the dash resetting every time you turn off the car? I'm guessing something is wrong with the constant power. I tried a ton of different wiring combinations on the triple gauge harness and I couldn't fix the issue.

Run an add-a-fuse to your kick panel. Use the multi-meter to determine which fuses are always hot. That's how I ran all my gauges. I don't recall off the top of my head which ones in the kick panel were hot all the time.

1, Can you display information from an external source on the factory Nav screen?

2, I didn't use the triple gauge wire harness for my Defi, I ran my own power.

I've never seen it without a switch and a carputer. But I don't know much about electronics/audio other than I'm real good at plug that there and connect those two wires together

Yes. There are aux RCA ports in the center arm rest. As a quick test, I hooked my Raspberry PI up to it, and the PI displayed without issue. I want to do the cellphone thing that I mentioned, but I haven't sat down and figured out how to make a video out with my available devices. Obviously, this will only give info that is read by the OBDII, so if your multigauge was going to display things like boost and oil pressure, it is definitely needed.

If you are using the video feed you would still need a switch to allow viewing with the parking break down. All video feed is cutout when the parking break is down or the vehicle is in motion. At least it is in a manual. Not sure how the function works in a AT cuz I pretend they don't exist

A lot of us have already done the Nav Hack with the backup camera and VSS off switch in the console. MY park brake wire is permanently grounded so I can view video in any gear so a video display while in motion is not an issue.

I am definitely interested in having the Nav display work as a gauge cluster like the GT-R!
