What are the downside of putting on a twin turbo kit to a 2013 370z automatic trans. I keep hearing that the transmission cant hold the power produced by the TT

The downside is the transmission can break.
The transmission is factory rated for just under 300TQ, which adding a TT kit will push that well beyond. Now many have had some success with adjusting the transmission lines via Uprev and staying out of 5/6/7 gears.

Now I hear F.I. is finishing up their built transmission.

They did the first startup of the 7AT with upgraded transmission today. Car should be on the dyno very soon. Look for updates on the F.I. Facebook or Instagram page, or here also

I personally think the torque converter and drive plates are the weakest parts. Besides that the planetary gears inside and the internal bands should hold pretty hefty horsepower and torque. It is basically the same Jatco 7AT used on the Infiniti QX80 and the Nissan Patrol that has a 8000 lbs towing capacity, Also, modifying the valve body with the Transco kit will absolutely help in shifting speed and response.
