For folks that do not have the capability to drop the engine out of the car in order to install the TT setup, there is another solution. Here are the engine slingers made by Nissan Japan. They will bolt right on to both sides of the cylinder heads. You then can attach the engine hoist chains to these slingers , lift and pull the engine out from the front of the car.

Can't have what you are looking for given the existing aftermarket exhaust selections. The only way to have a free flow turbo exhaust that sounds close to factory is to have a dual stage exhaust system like the C6 Corvette ZR1. This car is pretty quiet at low load but sounds like a beast once the secondary pipes open up .

But yes, slapping the TT in the VQ engine will quiet down the noise a bit, to my experience, but will never be quiet like the OEM Nissan muffler, which is terribly restrictive.

I just have quite a bit or drone and noise now in the low rpms/low speed partial throttle like in traffic. Sounds fine when cruising and when I get on it. I would like to get rid of the former, but not neuter the latter.

Depending on the characteristic and design of your exhaust and cats system, installing the twin turbo set up might or might not help this drone at low rpm/ partial throttle. The only way, unfortunately, is to have the TT setup installed in order to find out.

I get some drone under 3k rpm, I have their 3'' downpipes with their 3'' tdx system, but it doesn't bother me at all, I like it and the cops haven't harassed me once yet.

Mine has external waste gate so you won't be able to tell what it actually sounds like when in boost.

I have the same setup and I only get a little drone on 6th gear at just under 3000 rpms.

Different turbo kit but FI 2.5" exhaust non-res. I get zero drone.

Yea i really like sound of the car when they took those rear mufflers off for track, you can hear everything! I might just leave it that way and mount the cf mufflers on the wall in my living room.
