i'm very happy i spotted this thread. i have plans for a stage 2 TT kit soon as i get the money all together and i have a 7AT. i have been posting questions on here for a year now tryin to get info on FI on the auto tranny. Sam at GTM said the stock 7AT can only handle so much tourqe but it can be modded to handle higher HP and TQ numbers. no one has really tested it's limits yet so no exact figures are known last i heard.

my only goal it to go TT running enough boost not to blow my stock block or tranny. also looking to get 500-575RWHP. all should be possible....hopefully lol

if you guys find anything out i'm in for details please. thanks.

I've got 471rwhp but 495rwhp on Meth so far my trans has held up but I don't except is to last,it has survived 30 dyno pulls in one day and a total of probably 60,but like I said it won't last that's why I figured I check and see if anybody has had a 7at built.

From what I've been told its not the Hp but the tq that will kill the auto tranny. From what I gathered it should be able to do fine with anything under 500tq.

But I agree with you that I doubt with the constant strain that it would last too long.

I might PM u tomorrow and pick your brain a bit about forced induction and the 7at if that's ok with you. Any info would be greatly appreciate since there's not too many guys running boost on 7at.
