Rebuilt 7at
I have a GTM SC with a 7at everything is good now but was looking to upgrade the tranny this winter with a GTM one,I was wondering has anybody put one of these in and what your thoughts were on buying one and how does it feel.
|
Coop has a built one , I'd talk to him , mind you I haven't seen him on here in a long time
|
^I'm pretty sure Coop has a 5at, not 7at

Yes sir coop has the 5AT.

Also has the LV 10 tranny and TQ converter, not the GTM unit.

I knew it wasn't GTM , but I did not know it was the 5at my bad

No, I haven't been around. Sigh. My engine is coming together after three months on the rebuild (pistons/rods/studs).
5AT for me. I love it. Valve body work was first, then a TC from L10, then a full internal massaging again from L10 (Level Ten in NJ) Everyone has been waiting for someone, ANYONE, to come forth with a modded 7AT. If they are out there, they are staying on the down low. L10 claims they can do it. GTM has the parts and build. Just waiting for a response. Z eliminator ought to be the lead guy. I'm interested, too. I've never ridden in the 7AT. Might be such an improvement over the 5AT, it's not imperative. Adding 150whp does change things. :D Coop |
i have a 350 with a 5 At and the 370 Z is way better by miles. (stock).
