The car is very (tuning) dependent upon the MAF signals, I'm not going to guess or experiment, nor will I settle for a "close" wiring diagram. I'll try things on cars I've worked with numerous times, not this one though
Throw an o-scope probe on there and it should be really obvious which is which. Sounds like Nissan swapped out the teal and black wires, and you're reading the diagram backwards, but who knows. If the yellow comes up at +12v, it's definitely worth plugging in your oscilloscope.

MAF signal should vary with RPM right? While IAT signal should be fairly stable while not at idle?

I can't get a meter on the harnesses with them plugged in, I don't want to strip any wires yet

Here's the info had from probing the harnesses, ignition on, MAF's unplugged

Pass side

Pin 2 (yellow) - 12v
Pin 3 (green) - Signal from sensor to dme
Pin 4 (teal) - Signal from sensor to dme
Pin 5 (pink) - 5v from dme
Pin 6 (black) - Ground

Driver side

Pin 2 (grey) - 12v
Pin 3 (yellow) - Signal from sensor to dme
Pin 4 (brown) - Signal from sensor to dme
Pin 5 (green) - 5v from dme
Pin 6 (black) - Ground

Bridged the IAT and MAF +'s, using the signal from the passenger side (lower reading) MAF. First starting the car, the a/f's seem much better than previously, now around 14.6-15.5 sweeping at idle

At this point, why not just go standalone and MAP metering. Then the piping won't matter.

There's no standalone currently available for the 370Z. Even if there was, that's another $2k minimum.

Doesn't UPREV allow you to switch to MAP sensors as opposed to MAF sensors? That would probably be the way to go, especially if you are running higher boost.....

I will be exploring this as well

Read all 40+ pages, very cool indeed. I am glad 98intrigue is sticking to it and I am sure he will get it working.

MAP sensors run on 0-5v just as the MAF's do. You could most likely remove the MAF's and replace them with MAP on the stock ECU and with the proper tune it should work. You'd have to add a separate IAT sensor (also 0-5v) as well

Signal is probably coded differently though....not sure though.
