Default Fast 500 or CJM S1.SE

My AIM: 450-500 WHP (no more) on PUMP98 via AAM TT KIT and other things

Will not be using E85 currently. Will be using 340lph pump.

I have only heard really good things about the S1.SE fuel system, so I understand it is great quality. But also costs almost $500 more than the Fast 500 System,

Which one should I pick of the 2, value wise for my aim and for reliability.

For 500whp you don't really need a return fuel system.. I only have a walbro 255 and 600cc injectors and I'm just over 500.

Yup, I was making 530whp on E85, which requires 30% more fuel, without a return kit. Granted that was why my motor let go, but with pump gas you will have easily enough without a rfs.

The CJM S1.E would be a more appropriate comparison to the Fast 500E system. Both the S1.E and Fast 500 use stock rails. The S1.SE is much more expensive as it includes billet rails.

Also for your goals, the entry level system is all you would need. Personally I will return fuel system any forced induction Z (big surprise right), but 500whp it is considered somewhat optional. At 450whp I would say you might not need it. But 500whp+ I would personally do it.

Yes I thought the S1.E is the more comparable one price wise. So what does the Billet rails do over the stock rails?

They have 6AN fittings on both ends so that you can connect AN plumbing directly to them, eliminating the small fuel rail inlet tube that the factory rails use.

Personally improvement of flow whether it's air or fuel only amounts to good things. I too was on tue fencel about doing a fuel upgrade as this is not a cheap investment. Switched to Tops A2A and the stock fuel system Walbro 255 and 600cc Injectors are struggling to supply enough pressure up.top. I too was on the fence between the Fast 500 and CJ S1-S system. Then decided to go with the S1-SE. They're both great return systems but I figured since I was gonna upgrade this area I might as well knock it out and do It all. Being on the Stillen S/C with A2A upgrade FI only ha do a record of one customer running their Fast 500 system. The rails and additional optional packages that CJ Motorsports had with its kit sold me.

BTW Phunk the system just came in yesterday. Scheduled to tackle this project over the weekend.

Its very difficult to estimate exactly where fuel flow becomes a restriction without integrating telemetry to individual applications. A given WHP will not directly correlate to a given fuel volume, meaning that no fuel system components or systems can be accurately rated in HP. It is very possible to be achieving HP well beyond the ideal performance ceiling of a fuel system, which can cause unseen harm through individual cylinder performance discrepancies. Most builders/tuners will choose to over-build the fuel system rather than invest in discovering the limits of components suspected of inadequacies. This is one perspective where the aftermarket is very different than the OEM. OEMs can justify the research to discover the bare minimum requirements (plus some safety margin) because they stand to gain more in margins than they spent to acquire the data. The aftermarket most often does not take this approach due to the small fraction of production in comparison.

Ok what about the AAM Fuel Rail and Line kit?

It also uses CNC Billet fuel Rails like the CJM S1.SE and similarly priced. Anyone here has any experience with this kit, how would it compare to the S1.SE?

I'd go with CJM if only because he is a model vendor and supports this forum - even if you are a user that doesn't own one of his products. We need to support those vendors that take care of us! For some reason we only get hyped for the ones that like to hose us.

I think the hype will come for CJM when they finish their TT kit.
