Looks like I was on to something asking you how the voltages checked out. Thats all that was adding up in my head. Glad it turned out better then our texts started! I will get in touch with you again tomorrow. By the way were those wires even soldered?

So I had the piping redone the CORRECT way and when I called Lutz to ask how to unbridge the MAFs, they said just to cut the bridge they had wired....so I did cut it and that's why the car was in limp mode because 2 wires weren't even connected into the MAF sensor. |
Ya I have a buddy who builds turbo kits, and he was looking at ideas for single turbo build on my car. This would b down the road but I will def be using your build thread for tips on what to do and what not to do !

Bridging the mafs was a huge hack-- that was known since day one. Same with the unequal length piping. Sorry to hear you had to go through this, but at least this shop is getting some accurate publicity for once. |
Hey Ryan, its been the biggest headache for you im sure, but seems you are in better hands now and hopefully you get this thing running soon. Just remember! once its up and running, dont touch the dang thing and enjoy it for a while!

I just drove my car to work, since I went home for lunch. No CEL! No limp mode! No 10.0 AFR under partial throttle. I'm happy:tup:

And if I haven't said it already, a big thank you to Jon and Z1!
Nothing against HP Logic, but due to how well Jon and the Z1 people have treated me, I'm going to wait until Z Nationals to have my car fine tuned and make the 9 hour drive up there. |

Glad your coming up for Z Nationals man. |
Just got home from work...and I boosted on the way home :driving:
Previous Z1 tune from when I broke down on the way home from ZDayz, the car made 507whp at 11psi. Who knows what I'm making now, but it hit 11.7psi...and holy crap, I smiled big for the first time since the car went to Lutz. To say the least, it felt fast  I'm even more excited to see how it will run when I get the tune done in a month from now at Z Nationals. Idle is a tad rich at 13.5-14.0, cruising is in the 14s, and WOT is 11.7-12.0. For a tune Jon sent me, it's prety spot on! I'm going to datalog and send him my results to see if there is anything that needs immediate attention. Quote:

Nice! Now we just need to see how you do on the drag strip :driving:

Those numbers sound solid for a mailed tune. Glad things are looking up! |
Ryan, what do you use to datalog? Glad your coming up. I'll buy you a drink.

Glad to hear that you've finally got to enjoy driving it for a bit... just in time for a hurricane.
Good decision on Z nationals, you'll have to let me know so we can start our own boosted Z caravan. Or as Daisuke suggested when I met him at Z1, start our own boosted Florida Z Club lol. (PS Daisuke, I was the guy with the black Nismo getting tuned at Z1 a few weeks ago) |

Stock 09-10 GTR with no launch control nightmare
|
Nah, not me. But watch out...............lol
|
I will be a GTR's worst nightmare...only if he has no launch control, no feet, is blind, and only if he doesn't know who z_eliminator is, otherwise the GTR owner would say "you're not our worst nightmare, that z_elimator fellow is."
