Mike, what kind of gasket does your intake collector use? I had a heck of a time trying to get a good seal with my new gaskets for the OE upper manifold, so I might find one off another car and get another gasket.

How long is it going to take you to get another set of external wastegate springs? LOL

Who is doing your tuning with Ecutek?

For the heads we used cometic. For the intake plenums we used oem.

After further digging the springs seem fine. We are looking into other restraints and seeing as we are uncharted territory for this platform I am double checking were we may be running into stumbling blocks. As of right now we are running a double spring setup in our waste gates for 20-22psi... This should be good for about 38psi of boost... We are in no way maxing out the turbos and given that it is Father's Day the race gas shops in our area have all been closed this weekend... May have to wait later for the race gas run on c16. I will post up what we changed and any further updates.

Also this is an ecutek tuning platform.

Uprev vs ecutek...

Spec Jay 06-21-2015 08:51 AM

hmm.. What exhaust housings are you running? seems to be falling off a bit on top. Maybe exhaust piping is choking it out? good numbers so far though!

bullitt5897 06-21-2015 08:54 AM

We aren't running out of steam especially in this psi range... I am think more of a turbo intake piping issue... That could be reducing the efficiency of the turbos... We are moving a ton of air through 2.5" pipes

We are on a GT3582 based turbo and T25 .82ar turbine housing I believe.

DIGItonium 06-22-2015 09:51 AM

I haven't dug into this, but how about pipe diameters used for the Alpha Omega kit with the GT-R? Throttle bore? With your VR38 intake plenum fitted, it looks like you can fit in the AMS one.

[EDIT] At this point I wonder if you should consider getting various upgrades like a new MAP sensor, big bore throttles, intake manifold, etc. 3" piping!?! Geebuz, what a money pit here haha.

Spec Jay 06-22-2015 10:01 AM

You might want to look at those manifolds and housings. 900+ is an awful lot to shove through that flange. Those gt35s are definitely not getting the flow they need.

Raise the bar again!!! New world record!

bullitt5897 07-11-2015 10:21 AM

We are stuck at 24psi of boost... Once I sort the issue out expect the numbers to go up again...

What a monster...those of us at 5 to 650whp have some BA rides, but you are off the charts!!! :tiphat:

:iagree:

My 510/440 is basically worthless until 3rd gear. Can't imagine what twice that would be like :ugh2:

Surprisingly the car hooks! Did a few pulls today playing with ecutek traction control and man it is a beast!!! You work soooo much harder when you jump on it... Your slammed into the seat and your mind has to be 100% focus. While the whole Time the front is lifting and rear is squating making the steering really light and the whole time your thinking to your self "ok when are you going to step out on me?..."

Most fun car I have ever driven!!!

jwick 07-12-2015 12:09 AM

Ecutek is that good?

jwick 07-12-2015 12:10 AM

I took a couple of out of towners for joy rides this morning. 90 deg so the turbo isn't spooling as good and I had no fuckin traction until 3rd.

Well I think i figured out my boost issue last night... It had to do with the original setup of the boost controller. Given that my car was a test mule for GTM my spring pressure was constantly being played with and changed around and is different then what was inputted into the Boost controller as the Base maximum pressure. I reset the controller and will be testing it out later today. I will update with my results.

can you elaborate on the changes you were able to make between ecutek & uprev? that is a huge increase, assuming no other increases in boost levels or anything

bullitt5897 07-13-2015 09:33 PM

It was VVEL tuning, c16 and velocity stack intakes

I have to wait for temps to cool down... I ran it yesterday and after about a dozen 3rd and 4th gear pulls the coolant went ape **** crazy... Thank you 90+* weather and crazy humidity! I mean I was doing pulls back to back... first 3rd then 4th then both and back to 3rd lol...

489? nice! the headers and test pipes complimented the super charger kit and added power I guess? i thought most saw decreases when swapping out stock cats even since they lost back pressure.

Dreamer can we update the TT graph and the details on my build. You have me listed as a 4.2L. My build is a 4.5L ;D Thanks!

My HP is 982rwhp and 799ftlbs on c16 and the same 24psi

Second this. That's one of the highest reading Stillens ive seen and it has the mods that "supposedly" decrease power.

Maybe once you crack 1,000HP I will update it. :p
I actually have been pretty lazy lately and need to do a full update on a number of new builds & updates from owners.

theDreamer 07-21-2015 08:58 AM

Ok, big update today to the list.

Added the following builds:
BlueDemon
Diabel
Spec Jay
1LIFE
John26jm

Updated:
Bullitt5897
Hjo1078

Also working on a new graph or two to do some deeper comparative results between a few variables to see & show how different things affect results (in a fairly loose manor). Especially since we are seeing more people push the 500-700 range and doing so with different fuel, built/stock, PSI, etc.

Playing around with the FI builds and doing some comparisons.
The table & graph below are all builds above 600HP (currently only T & TT builds).

Interesting facts:
-Phunk is highest stock block HP
-Bullit is the highest HP on 4.5L
-1Life is highest HP on 3.7L
-Nguy3nt0mmy21 is highest on pump fuel (93)
