So it's official.................the insurance company has my car now and I couldn't convince them to only repair the exterior parts that were damaged. The Type 29 Intercooler was the nail in the coffin (4k.......killing me). UPREV recovered all of the major components so that I can boost another Z, but now I have to find one that I can acquire. It upsets me to say it, but give OmegaRED the strikethrough..............

When the next one is ready, I will post up the info and dyno.

Ouch. I'll pour out a little liquor for one of the fallen. That really sucks.

YzGyz 02-09-2015 09:16 AM

Umm, that sucks but if I was in the position and had the $$ to buy a new one, the boosted z in the for sale section would be strongly considered..

 :(

Sorry to hear this man, hopefully you can return soon.

TopgunZ 02-09-2015 03:24 PM

I will be able to add to this soon. I have my built motor running great!! Have put about 150 baby miles on then I couldn't stand it anymore and have been boosting around at 10lbs for the past few days. Went through a whole tank in just the weekend. But E85 goes quick. :driving:

Im going to put the rfs and 3" charge pipes on soon then take it back to the dyno and set it around 15lbs. Ill post up as soon as I have the results.

I guess I can post my conservative Pump gas numbers:

886WHP and 710FTLBS on 93oct and 24psi...

The link to the base package for my car:
GTM Motorsports*::*POWER PACKAGES*::*GTM 1000*::*GTM VQ37VHR 1000HP TWIN TURBO PACKAGE-M/T-GTR KILLER

our old dyno sheet:

We are currently in tuning sessions so expect these numbers to go up. And expect significant improvement in numbers once we go to e85 and race gas.

Wow!!!

Nice build bud. Looks like there's some competition at the top of the stock block power levels.

One question though - Did I read that right, stock clutch??? It's life span has to be extremely short at 550wtq. I'm actually surprised it made it off the dyno.:rofl2:

john26jm 05-13-2015 07:17 AM

Yeah man I'm waiting on the act to clutch get here I got the spec twin clutch and it wouldn't disengage spec didn't want to help so I had to stay with stock clutch meanwhile

That's pretty typical of Spec. Their quality control sucks. If you talk to ZSpeed over 90% of their HD CSC failures are due to Spec. They won't even warranty any CSC mated to a Spec anymore.

Interested to see how the ACT works and holds up for you. I don't recall any of us with high power builds running an ACT on this platform.

Well, yeah....If you want to drive a mutli-disc clutch. Some of us have 'normal' power levels and can still get away with a single disc.:rofl2:

Have this kit on my car, not even close to what Stillen claims, that's with base map provided, if anyone knows more let me know how to achieve the number that Stillen claims, or close to it.

I have the race version of the triple disk... It's engagement is really high compared to my old double that was in my ttg37... It makes driving in traffic a pain but other than that I love it! It takes a while to get used too but it's not as heavy as my old double OS giken.

Their claim is 500+ at the engine so 400-420 WHP, go get a custom tune and it will come to life.

E85.. I had about 40 gallons on hand at zdayz.. The struggle was real:eek: lol but it work out perfectly:tup:

bullitt5897 06-19-2015 05:07 AM

Just broke my record! We made 900whp and 717ftlbs on 93oct and 24psi... We are going to jump 2psi and see what she can do... At that point we will call it for pump gas and follow up with race gas tune and numbers. Expect something in the 1200whp range!!!

I bet with race fuel or e85 he could get closer to 1k.
But 900 on pump is very impressive, what is the final ECU you are using bullit?
