Agreed. This will quickly become a 400 page thread filled mostly of excited little interjections about people wishing they could have one. I wish there was a way an admin could cull the meaningless posts so we can come back and just read what Kyle and the Stillen crew have posted or responded to helpful questions. (This post will self destruct in 1 day)

Yes, that will happen. Welcome to the internet.

An option to them is to either create a locked thread and simply edit the first post of the thread with updated information, or create a moderated thread in the vendor sub-forum.

Its pretty typical of warranty to have a restocking fee. I mean I know he has his issues, but he is choosing to return it instead of wait for a fix. He is not even using warranty, he just wants his money back and alot of companies wouldnt even do that. Warranty is placed their so the product can be fixed, not so you can have your money back if it doesnt work properly right away. I KNOW I KNOW, you have waited and waited, but like all things it takes time and you got caught in the middle. Believe me I have been in a similar situation where I bought a turbonetics kit for my old z, and the charge pipe consistently came off on even lower psi then advertised. I ended up selling the kit, but I was offered the same thing you are being offered when I asked for a refund.

This problem will get resolved, and I am seriously hoping this will happen. Stillen is def having some issues, but I would highly doubt they are going to wash their hands and walk away from the customers. This is a big market, and lots of money and expensive cars. I am just wondering like everyone else said, if you have HFC's how in anyway could your car be CARB certified.

I am no pro, but I have no doubt a custom tune would solve this and you would be fine. I guess I will say goodluck and it stinks to see an S/C go bye bye. How is everyone else doing on the tune?

you know your my buddy but you have no right to make that statement since you are not involved with the situation. There is no reason to make a war as everyone know whats you think of the kit. thats where this is heading is towards a war.
Frank
do I have the right to talk all the crap I want since I had their kit but removed due to it not working correctly?

Who cares, all this kind of work is custom engineering. Its not an assembly line. You want performance, fine you will require added maintenance. You want to have a perfect install, fine it will require extra time. Which projects like these have many variables to them, so who care if it takes twice as long to get a good deliverable in the end. You people and think these companies can wave their magic wand and make everything perfect. This is a ridge-line business and we are lucky we have the few tuners and manufactures of these types of goods and services. Stillen on the other hand has gone about everything the wrong way.

You still don't get it. I guess there aren't many project managers here. If something takes more time than estimated it means they estimated poorly or, and this happens all the time, they estimated effort hours correctly but not duration. When a shop is juggling multiple big projects a problem with one can slip all the others. This is just reality and is all about time/project management.

What you are saying is the shop estimated it will take X hours to do their NORMAL, HIGH QUALITY WORK, but then it takes X + Y to "make it perfect"..?

I'm a little surprised people are arguing this with me, this is common sense stuff. It isn't a knock against any shop, it is just a reality of the industry. When people realize that and set appropriate expectations, they will not be disappointed.
