Instant millionaire? I wish. What will probably happen: Countless people dump on me, tell me how dumb I am(haters hate when you do something before them that they never thought of that in hindsight is actually fairly obvious), then I do it, a few pat me on the back, then everyone else copies what I did, 10 years from now it's a "thing" and everyone forgets I ever even existed. LMAO That would be par. I don't see how I could profit here. I'm certainly not going to get into the part business. Especially parts that anyone could just call nissan to buy. |

I may be the only one here, but I'm very interested to see how this VR-VQ build would go through. FWIW, 370z944 dude - please follow through your stories and ideas, start a thread and build this monster you're planning to build.
Best case scenario: you'll prove everyone wrong and we'll all learn something new. Worst case scenario, you'll waste a lot of money, learn something new and spooler will say "toldcha" and we'll all have a laugh. |

.....yeeeeeah... Gonna be a no. Cause no, the coolant passages don't line up. They're similar. Found a pic of each mating surface. So, no. The bolt pattern and coolant passages aren't the same. A deck plate/liners could possibly take care of the coolant passages, but that bolt pattern is all wrong.
Whole engine swap it is then. Dang it. I had to delete and refresh everything to upload the rotated pic. For some reasson the site refuses to upload the edited version. Last edited by 370Z944; 07-27-2022 at 08:36 PM. |

If 370z944 thinks Spooler is bad. Wait until he asks a question on rims and tires. Option Zero will rub the skin right off of him.

Well, it was a simple question. lol I just had to answer it with facts myself. I figured was an easy one to explain for this crowd. Shrug. "No, they don't line up cause the bolt pattern is all different" would've sufficed. LMAO I was just supposed to take "no cause I said so"?? lol The size of the stud doesn't make much difference. It's easy to make threads bigger, it's making them smaller thats rough. That bolt pattern tho.. I can't think of a way around that.
