I bought an old Mustang where previous owner had installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge under the dash. He over-tightened the fitting on the gauge and I ended up with about a quart-and-a-half of oil in the carpet when it failed.

If it had been fuel pressure, there's a good chance I would have had a fire on my hands.
