Yes, this will fit right up to the Gen 1 kits. Will be one of the dollar per dollar cheapest upgrades you could do too.

Dyno day... Thursday at 2:00!
We will have 93 octane results. |
Who is the tuner? Will it be remote tuned or local?

Is anybody else constantly refreshing the page waiting for the results?

So close!! Car wouldn't fit on the Dyno. This rig is slammed and with the widebody kit it was scrapping on the ramps. Also, the shop said the straps would be held tight against the cans on the Berk since it sits so low. It's in the shop now. We are removing the rear fenders and side skirts for clearance. Also removing the cans on the exhaust.
Dyno rescheduled for Thursday. Another week of waiting. Sorry guys. Pics for proof. http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...205-150312.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...205-150302.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...205-152224.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/topgu...205-154018.jpg |
Sweet
Is that the finished intake ? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |
Sounds like the dyno run will be done without any exhaust restriction? Will that give inflated results?

Inflated numbers are when you remove a known to be restrictive air filter entirely like some places have done and then post up numbers saying your kit makes 80whp more than the competition. I don't operate that way. |
Anyone else annoyed that today is only Tuesday? Looking forward to seeing how this goes!!

The only thing I wish I could change is that we will only be able to dyno on 93 octane tomorrow. We can conclude what it will make on E85 though and I have several guys ready to throw this kit on and throw down some E85 numbers. |
Wish us luck! We are driving to the Dyno in a few hours and it is snowing here like crazy!

We have a winner! Not only did we meet the goal of 500whp on pump gas but exceeded it by quiet a bit. More pics and videos to come.

This is the exact same pulley setup as what I always have sold. 2.8 serp, 3.2 JS and 3.2 SC side. The Cannon intake is breathing nicely. No doubt we will see 600whp with E85 on the stock setup! |

Can't see FB videos, can you YT it?

Looks like there is more power to gain from this kit. How much time did you spend on the dyno? It’s obviously making more boost, even down low. But if you look at TQ at 3000 RPM, it’s down about 70 lb-ft compared to the current kit. But good news is it’s already making more than an extra pound of boost at that RPM just eyeballing it. >3 psi compared to <2 psi.

I was comparing it to your original kit on pump.

Oh wait... your new graph unfortunately uses 2 different scales for HP and TQ and it looks to be cut off on the right where TQ numbers are. So, my statements might be off, I’ll need a closer look. Normally TQ and HP cross at 5252 RPM.
It still looks like 300 HP and 300 TQ are at the same level, so my observation is still correct. Normally you’re at 270+ lb-ft at 3000 rpm. |
Aaron, I had to edit my post above. I didn’t realize the scales were different. But it still looks to be down at the lower rpm range. I hope to get Eugene to remote dyno tune as well, so I’m very interested in how well that went. Probably not the easiest thing to do.

Yeah we will revisit this and tweak it in once we can get a tank of good E85 in her. They run the crappy winter blend up here this time of year.
There will be a few guys with numbers before we get the good stuff though. |
We are only 15whp and 30wtq off from those E85 numbers on pump gas. It will make that up by just the cooling properties of the ethanol alone. Throw some timing at it and it's going to dominate.

Any ideas yet for a timeline when these kits will be available? Still sourcing part fabrication?
