That's what all of them are designed to do, make you feel like you are a nobody because you don't have/do/be _________. We used to call that 'keeping up with the Joneses', when you tried to keep up with the neighbors when they got new stuff.

My fiancee's oldest boy lives in Platte City and has a neighbor that is like that. Everytime Paul gets something new (smoker, flat-top grill, trampoline, etc), the neighbor has to go out and get the exact same thing. It even goes so far as to extend to the inside of the neighbor's house, it's exactly the same as Paul's.
WTF is wrong with people?
