You did say it would add torque. Which also means it would add power.

Oh I C. Sorry for the incomplete statement. What I meant to say is "it will increase low-end torque". I actually don't recommend doing so (putting a restrictive exhaust system back) at all for the sole purpose of increasing torque. As I mentioned previously, the increase in EGP and EGT will hinder the performance and cause potential damage to your engine especially for a car running with forced induction. From theory one will loose both "maximum" torque and power. Thanks for pointing it out.

It depends on how restrictive it is before any damage would occur. Turbos create a lot of backpressure and guys are running higher boost. Thats the nice thing about a SC over turbo, you dont have to worry about adding backpressure.

Its pretty simple really. The more air you can get in and out of the engine the more power you will make.

Damn Aaron, at that price you can do the fuel system, install and tune for less than 10k.

One of the best things I like about SC is that it is predictable about when the power is available, simply look at your tach. Your tach is like a power meter. The more RPM, the more power. I love doing WOT 3rd gear pulls from about 20mph. It is like riding on a rocket that keeps going faster and faster.

And it’s daily driveable for a female spouse.. don’t have to worry about them overboosting and throwing a rod at lugging RPMs, or spinning out if they push down on the gas too hard..

I have an AWD Q60 3.7 w/7AT

I just want to do a basic A2A install, no intention to modify exhaust (if the cats blow I'll address it at that time), just looking for a bit more power.
I did consider just buying the Stillen kit as-is, but like everyone else here, the few issues with the Stillen kit bug me, and I don't want the A2W gear on my car. I like the simplicity of the A2A.

Couple quick questions:
1. Front bumper support, I see most people are using the F.I. support. Does that mean you remove the impact absorbing foam? I have also seen pics of cars with a cut-out OEM bumper support, can the TopGunz IC be cleared with a cut up OEM support? I'd like to keep the impact foam TBH.

2. I have UpRev for my other Nissan and it works well for that vehicle. I spoke with my UpRev guy and he said with an upgraded MAF he can tune the car just fine. Since I am going for a mild SC setup, what do you guys think?

3. For my basic setup, I just need the TG A2A kit and injectors and fuel pump, right?

Thanks guys!

Lots of other factors come into play.

Tire make/model?
LSD?
Suspension?
Driving experience?
2 Step launch control?
Weather?

I wouldnt let this be a deciding factor on if you are going boosted or not. Its not like you will just sit and spin. Your car will be a completely different animal with an incredible increase in acceleration no matter what components are on it.

Yes you can do things to get off the line faster in a dig but that is also 100% controllable by the driver weather you spin or not. Dumping the clutch and smashing the pedal will spin the tires even on a naturally aspirated car.
