I was reading on the variances between Dyno Dynamics and DynoJets and it seems that DD's always read lower than the DJ's. I think we use DJ's here as the standard. That is what I last used for my car in Denver when I hit 490whp. Here on the DD I hit 527 but it seems all research says to add 10% to 15% to convert to DJ numbers. If that's the case and we use the median of 12.5% then my car made 593whp! Which actually feels more accurate on the street. The car seems much faster than the 37whp difference in numbers from DJ to DD. It feels closer to that 75-100 mark. I did make 4psi more.

Using the supra calculator for dyno differences I made 627whp but I don't think it is that high. Toyota Supra MKIV : MKIV Specifications

If you google "Dyno Dynamics to Dynojet calculator" you get tons of the same research that they read at least 10% lower.

Anyone have real world experiences with the differences on the Dynos?

We dont tend to use DJ here in the UK much more common to use DD, thats why some of the figures on here are so alien to us, a stock 370z over here makes about 250hp at the wheels , with the usual bolt ons you get to 280-285hp on a Dyno Dynamics dyno

So i've had the opposite occur,

I hit 622 on a dyno dynamics but 598 on the dynojet

I don't really think theres a universal thumb of law that can apply, too many variables.

The local dyno is called "The Heartbreaker" because it is a Dyno Dynamics and reads low compared to others.

If you dont strap them down correctly then you can get inflated readings , some tuners use this technique to their advantage

One kit went out today and the customer should get it Friday. Another is going out tomorrow. After I proved the Y works good, or great, I told my fabricator to make more. He is supposed to have some done this weekend.
YzGyz and StillenZ84 like this.

Do you yet know all that would be needed for the G37 coupe? I'm supposed to be buying a SC kit off a 370Z, and Stillen said the filters were different, as well as a few other mounts and brackets. I'd rather just get the a2a lot components needed and do it right the first time.

From what I've seen I think Tonguns kit should fit a G without any major modification.

I'm pretty familiar with both cars so if I had a picture of all the parts laid out generally how they fit on the car and some of final install, I could probably give you a pretty good indication if it'll fit or not.

So do you have any final numbers? I seen the 590s/600s WHP but is it? WTQ?

Really the only two things that matter are the supercharger and manifold positions. The manifold being critical. As long as those two items are the same from Z to G then it should fit right up. Which I am pretty sure they are since the face of the motors are the same and so are the manifolds.

Right Jwick?

Well, I have proven to make 527whp and 414wtq at only 6800rpms on a DynoDynamics.

There should be some numbers from other guys popping up soon.

I should note on here that my 9psi pulley isn't exactly a 9psi pulley but more like an 8.5 since it measures 2.90". Stillen provides the 8psi pulley at 3.12" and their 9psi pulley at 2.75"s. That equates to a big difference in how fast that impeller is being spun.

Differently some nice numbers. I was just wondering if you went any higher. So in order to make that power you need E85, A2A, 9lbs pulley? Not bad:-)

Cant wait to see my numbers. Hopefully my 7AT doesn't hold me back. At least it is built I guess and should help overall numbers over the stock trans.

Right Jwick?

The engine is identical. From the radiator back you can't tell the difference.
