It might depend on their workload. Best bet is to call them direct and ask. They have outstanding customer service. Could call 928 also if you want to go that route.

and cost?

329 + shipping through vortech. Turnaround time is usually a few weeks.

That is what they told me too last year.

Just talked to Brain over at vortech.
Turnaround time is about 2-2.5 weeks.
Quoted me @ 294.99 + shipping.

They should do this already but make sure they check your SC bearings. Might as well replace them if there are any signs of potential trouble down the road and to save you the time and re-tuning. Maybe the $329 quoted before includes the new bearings? I don't remember but I did it years ago.

Jon Bond usually has the best turnaround time at a few days.

Or drop in the ceramic high speeds and really spin it.

Getting ready to install one of the A2A kits here soon! Just a quick question, but how do you clock the supercharger? Is that something that can be donewith the blower in? Or do we have to remove it?

The install instructions show how it is done. You will need to take the entire supercharger out or it will hit the fender before making its rotation. This takes about 10 minutes.

- Release serpentine tensioner
- Remove intake boot (this has to come all the way out anyway and will not be used)
- Unbolt supercharger from bracket (4 bolts)

Done!

Look at the outer bottom bracket held in by two socket head screws. There's 3 of these brackets along the outer rim with a total of 6 screws. Remove these screws and you'll be able to spin the volute freely. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...363018a1f5.jpg

Awesome! Topgunz, hurry up and get the kit to me! Can't wait to get this going!

I am pretty excited TopgunZ's coming SC kit. Can't wait to see how that turns out.

mikey1600 05-04-2017 01:21 PM

My kit arrived but few things to get still (haven't even unboxed it yet :O), need to get fuel system from Phunk and send my charger away to be upgraded

If we upgrade to Si trim + already have the 9psi pulley on and want more boost, which should we be getting?

I'm going E85 route so wanna crank it up a bit, happy to go around 15 psi

Don't forget that they best way to go to 9psi is to change the drive pulley on the SC. You can order the 2.85 pulley directly from Vortec.

You will also need to go up in size for the idler pulley to get the correct tension on the belt. Still with the added idler it is way cheaper than what Stillen charges.

Just found the SC belt idler pulley that is needed when you go to the 9psi SC pulley. Use the NAPA 36112 part.

Doing the serp side pulleys will give you a bit more boost. Other than that, the only way you can get more boost is by going with a smaller sc pulley and overspinning the blower or removing your air filter. You won't get near 15psi though. I'd also keep in mind that boost works differently in a sc setup than a turbo.

By taking the filter off you will get close to 15. I got to 14.5psi. However, that is not recommended for motor health.

Talk to StillenZ84. He was making 560whp and is going for 600.
