Not true with the Z. I leave my car unlocked in the garage after I get home. It never locks it by itself.

No it will lock itself if say you walk up to the door and hit the unlock button then walk away without opening the door. If the door is unlocked and you close it it is not going to lock by itself.

you are correct:

All doors, the rear hatch/trunk lid and the fuelfiller door will be locked automatically unless one
of the following operations is performed within 1
minute after pushing the request switch while
the doors are locked.
. Opening any door and/or the rear hatch/
trunk lid
. Pushing the ignition switch
. Inserting the Intelligent Key into the Intelli-
gent Key port.
During this 1-minute time period, if the UNLOCK
button on the Intelligent Key is pushed, all
doors will be locked automatically after another
1 minute.

You both are correct. if you try to unlock the car then walk away without opening it the car assumes you didnt want to get in her and re-locks its self. but if you pull into the garage get out and walk away it will stay unlocked.

damn Zman beat me...
