We went through a bunch of possible causes other than a slight warp and the he asked, " ... have you adjusted the bump stops on the underside of the hood?". Bumper stops?? Doh! Went out to the car and found plenty of adjusting play. Can't work on it tonght, but by Thursday I will get it done. Damn! forgot all about those.
