Everytime I look up the hood it talks about one sheet of carbon fiber and rolled edges but I haven't seen anything about rain guards.

I changed the stock top mount intercooler on my old STi to a front mount and left the scoop alone. When it rained, it filled my engine bay full of water.

Not saying it was a good thing, but I never had any negative affects from that... other than a crazy nasty engine and engine bay.

The scoop always sucked in trash and debris from the road is a downside.
