I have an aftermarket hood....it has scoops....it came with detatchable panels under both of the scoops.....mine also has scoops in the dead center which don't have panels...and I've washed my

I have an aftermarket hood....it has scoops....it came with detatchable panels under both of the scoops.....mine also has scoops in the dead center which don't have panels...and I've washed my car by hand on numerous occasions and never had a problem.
And here is the best photo I have of my hood I can show from the images I have in my photo album on this site:  You can see the scoops and the center part of my hood actually dips down and there a dual panel there with no protection behind it.
