I was a lucky one and didn't have much of a struggle or sacrifice the stock knob. Did the patented setup here, except I used a bicycle tire to line the shaft. Didn't need the duct tape but surely needed to use the pipe wrench for at least like 5 full turns.
Also didn't have much leverage. I think I was using 7-9 inch handles for both tools. That lucky, I guess. |
