I have a circuit sphere from Raceseng on my M3, and it's my favorite knob I've used on any car so far. It wins over my Graphx Fatboy by virtue of not being a billion degrees on hot days due to the delrin cover, while still being decently hefty.
Downside is cost. They aren't too cheap.

This is what it looks like mated to my Coolerworx short shifter. I love it! It is so easy to maneuver at track speed.

I like that sphere shift knob setup. I might have to get that.
