Believe it or not I received it yesterday. It took a whole month to find its way from Australia. I emailed the company a few weeks ago and they said it takes a long time to clear US customs, 30 days for shipping is typical.
I'm going to takes some before/after pics and keep everyone updated. I hope this works out.

lately the z has been sitting in the garage more often and noticed interior dash is starting to have cracks, white haze in certain areas, i thought i took good care of it over the years but seems the humidity is taking a toll on the z...

During fall and winter, I have a little utility heater blowing 24/7, keeping the 2 car garage relatively warm and humidity in check. It slowed down the deterioration in between coats of 303. Worth a try.

Are you using just a basic electric heater?

I'm active in NFPA and definitely not comfortable leaving something like that plugged in unattended.
My garage is insulated and stays pretty reasonable with temp extremes around 55F and 85F. Austin humidity is pretty consistent middle of the road except when it rains. No excuse for this crap.

Huh, perhaps I need to rethink my approach
Edit: when I said 24/7, I didn’t mean put it on constant on, my temp dial is at half way point and it runs intermittently. But, I think I still should rethink my approach.

I've got all my fingers crossed, thanks for being the test mule. I just want to be able to drive during the day and not have the dash look like a damn mirror.

I ordered a similar dash cover from dashcare.com, ( https://dashcare.com/i-2761778-nissa...ash-cover.html)
The one I ordered is Black DashSuede with holes for both sensors on the dash. It fits great and looks excellent. The price was $56.38, that included shipping to Florida. The dash cover actually adds a nice look to the inside of the Z. Last edited by gryghst; 02-17-2020 at 08:48 PM. |

So has anyone definitively figured out if it was a uv problem or an age problem? I ask only because my car sees very little uv light basically only while I’m on the road. Otherwise it’s parked in the garage or in the shade.

I didn't use any chemicals when cleaning the dash, so I think I can rule that out. Used mild window cleaners and sprayed on cloth, not directly on window. My guess is that heat is the culprit - I usually drive with A/C off and windows down so my dash can get pretty hot on sunny days.
