From a purely aesthetic standpoint, i think the flaw is the rear end. There's alot of overhang on that rear bumper, probably as a concession to platform sharing with the G, which requires a certain amount of trunk space + rear seats and what not.
Part of that can be hidden or balanced out, imo, with even wider flares. Just a visual cue for me. For example, the Supra Mkiv has MASSIVE front/ rear over hangs that make it look like a fat ugly pig in near stock form. Widebody ones, however, look ok. As for rocket bunny and "add-on" flares, anything can look good when executed correctly. I've seen some add on flares from various companies where the arches don't line up with the curves of whatever front/rear bumpers are on the car, and no amount of wheel fitment or big wing or flashy paint can cover that up for me Wiggins, whether you like add on flares or not, is putting effort into good execution, so you gotta give him props for that. Plus the amuse kit + wide = sex. The rear bumper smooths out the over hang issue because it extends the rear bumper out in a rounded way (midline pokes out but tapers in toward the bottom of the bumper), giving the illusion of a slimmer, tighter rear end. Like good fitting yoga pants make rear end look better |

The "rocket bunny" or "bolt on" style fenders are just modernizing the old school wide body look. Whether it's bolted on or molded on, wide body is wide body. How you decide to install is your own preference.
But back onto topic, I'm sure we'll get a RB kit soon. ![]()

I have nothing against bolt-on flairs if done right. Most of the stuff today looks like over-kill.

Iv just never been a fan of seeing people drill holes in the body of the car. I wont lie, some of them can look quite nice but for some reason I feel like rocket bunny isnt really the direction to go with a widebody kit.
Getting a pre fabed widebody is far safer a choice then getting your fenders cut, pulled, welded and custom made. Your relying on a shop to do proper, top tier body work. Hard pill to swallow when I actually got it done that way on my 350z back in 09' kinda this Last edited by Zerafian; 05-08-2016 at 11:44 AM. |

There's one guy who had that done on his rear fenders. Looked really wide and almost stock. Not sure if he's on here it was a red sport

By definition... Yes. The profile of the car is in fact wider than OEM.

Doing these for few years my take is if something is made for the car rather then aligning the car to the parts as some wide body execution, it looks better. We have installed Moonbeam kits full and partial and most of the time it's the full kit which has side blades, lip, diffuser and other parts for widebody looks better, that's what rocket bunny does on most cars looks better as they ask you to change it all. Seen few Nissan/Infiniti with just flares slapped and unfortunately nothing flows and car started looking uglier
If not wrong we have the smallest size rear fenders, although 3" wide but found them the most difficult part to be made keeping body lines in tact ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unfortunately it's execution like this that ruins it for those of us who do a bolt on overfender correctly and spend the time and money to make them look, fit and flow right...
