Nice, this looks like a useful thread that will hopefully get stickied.
Maybe for those who have bought their 370Z already, we can get a weight on spare tire and jack/tools. Thats one of the easiest places to drop weight.
Also, some one should try to weigh the stock wheels and tires, as this is another good place to save weight. My estimates would be 24-25 lb front wheels and 27-28 lb rear wheel but I'm just guessing.

I'm going to probably leave the stock 19in wheels, (the weight isn't that bad) but the tires weigh 30 Lbs each! Those have got to go!

I will reserve my spot on this thread for when I get my 370Z. I have a set of scales and a box full of tools!

Good stuff. Is the weight of one of the exhaust systems incorrect? The weight savings should be 19.8 lbs, right?

According to tirerack, for the Bridgestone RE050A, a 245/40/19 weighs 29lbs and the 275/35/19 weighs 30lbs.

So the front wheel weighs, 23.2lbs and the rears weighs 26.8lbs.

Perhaps the scales are off, but Nissan did advertise these wheels as 20% lighter. Not sure which wheels they were comparing to, but that doesn't look to hold true from this info.

On the bridgestone website, the 275/35/19s are listed at 33lbs.

^^^ Thanks for doing that sensi09, rep for you for being proactive. I was just about to post that info up as well.

What this means boys and girls is that a set of CE28's in the same sizes will probably save us around 20 lbs total. In 18's we'll probably see a 25 lbs saving. (Just a rough estimate, so plz correct me)
