Default 34 Row Oil Cooler

Well im literally in the process on purchasing a 34 oil cooler but my question is is that do i have to do any cutting on my vehicle with z1 motorsports or Gtm 34 row oil cooler?? Thx Suggestion would be appreciated.

P.S: Texas weather here is insane At the moment its been a week straight with 100+ degree weather with some humidity so dont bash me as in why am i going with a 34 instead of a 25 row oil cooler lmao

Well, can't exactly speak to the 34 row, but I just installed the Z1 25 row kit. I only had to drill a small hole (3/8" I think) in the center support for the upper bracket, and trimmed a bit of the hard plastic frame on the passenger side of the radiator by the windshield fluid bottle for cooler line routing. I also did need to slightly modify one of the bracket mounting holes supplied by Z1 to get the hole to line up with the factory hole in the lower plastic support.

All in all, an easy job. The most frustration may be in finding the best route for your cooler lines, depending on the year of your Z.

Good luck!

Edit: I noticed from your sig that your Z is a 2010. Since you don't have the factory oil cooler, your sandwich plate install will be much easier than mine was. It's tight with 2012's! Also, I don't want to stop you from going with the 34 row, but If you're not going to track the car much, the 25 row might be a better choice for the colder months. I have similar weather here (minus the humidity...), and I have trouble getting my oil temps up in the winter without a blocking plate, especially around town, short drives. I got 15-20 degree drops so far with the 25 row. Haven't tracked it yet though..

I have a 72 row that is available if you want overkill It will be slightly more expensive than a brand new 34 row...

The Z1 oil cooler kits don't "work" out of the box with the MHI kits. My car has the same intercoolers and I believe the oil filter is relocated. I have to get rid of mine because they have nowhere to put it, it's too big. I would check GTM's option as they do work.

Get it from gtm so you know it fits with their inter cooler. Get the 34 row for sure.
