Sorry to hear what happen its a problem on these cars but luckily I have never experienced this problem and I have actually tried to make it happen by driving

Sorry to hear what happen its a problem on these cars but luckily I have never experienced this problem and I have actually tried to make it happen by driving hard on and off highway ramps with the gas gauge flashing but it never went.
I would also like to mention that I have recently hit 24,000 miles and I have ZERO problems. The engine does not use an abnormal amount of oil, and the tranny is super smooth.
