My personal advice would be to pester the crap out of NNA corp and do whatever they tell you. It's slower but more likely to result in a positive outcome

well just a little update here...

Engine ended getting patched back up by Erricksen Nissan. In the process of repairing the motor they killed the AC system somehow and the passenger side power mirror. They tried to charge me for the passenger mirror to the tune of (1000 CAD LOL!) claiming my custom stereo broke it. They ended up fixing it but told me to never return to their shop! As if I needed any more motivation for that. Going to get the AC fixed this summer when the snow melts.. and if Nissan tried to claim its out of warranty I **** you not i'll blow my own head gasket.

So coolant tank low again.. Took it back to Erricksen Nissan where they told me everything is fine..... Sigh

Yeah, don't forget the AC is still broken from their previous repair as well.

I'm sure when I pick the car up later this week the coolant will magically be back at the normal level.. with no answers or solutions as to where it all went before..

Ok does this count as a positive test for a leak detection test? Didn't have anyone to push the gas while I did this.. but got a slight yellowing of the testing fluid in the upper chamber.

Thats why i'll be steerin clear of nissan from now on and recommend to anyone else in the market for a vehicle to do the same.

It's not gonna help? All the manufacturers are dicks now, technology has come far enough that the average auto tech at the dealership has no idea what to do anymore if it's anything other than a simple issue, not to mention added features at ever reduced costs, and everything has to be more complex to meet emmisions and be competitive, we have the technology to build awesome cars now but they just become more complex. You want a car your mechanic can fix? buy something from the 90's

Also know a mustang owner and hes fairly satisfied, they can fix his car when he brings it in, it's just to bad something else breaks in the next couple months.

Yea maybe one off I dunno. I don't think so though.. I think it is a brand issue. I've been in the erricksen nissan shuttle numerous times picking up and dropping off my car and every time there is another pissed of customer with a similar string of never ending issues that is swearing off the brand.. Anyways, I've owned numerous Honda and Toyota and they have always been rocksolid 100%. I mean if you really want to see how much of a POS company nissan truly is just go to Nissan Computer Corporation. That story makes my blood boil just reading it!

Oh and thanks for sharin about your cracked head gasket.. I guess I gotta take it to an independent shop to actually get it fixed or even just have proof its f-ed even though the coolant is magically disappearing, although I am certain if I do that Nissan will use it as grounds to void my warranty. ROFL

Oh well, at the end of the day its just a car.. Hard lesson learned I suppose

Before contacting a lawyer or whatever, you should follow the complaint procedure in the OM i.e. the independent arbitration. Long story short, Ford dealer refused to replace catalytic converter after ~90 months (96 month warranty on emiisions systems). Contacted the arbitration folks but Ford relented and replaced the converter shortly after they found out I was filing a complaint. Suggest you do the same and it doesn't cost anything.
