If it comes back on, clean the MAF sensors like stated above. I had the same code twice since owning the Z and cleaning the sensors worked both times.

Having this issue right now myself with one difference. I am only getting the random misfire detected and no indication of a specific cylinder. While I am driving I also get my "Service Engine Soon" light flashing at me, then off for a half mile then flashing again. Got home and ran the code and it doesn't specify a cylinder. And advice would be great. Thanks

And have I lost my way, or is one coil pack really $125?

JDHeart.....when this happened to me the light was steady (not blinking). Im not sure but i think a blinking SES light is worse than a steady one.
Someone else that has had their Z longer or knows more about them can probably verify this for us.......

I keep getting this code, ever since I got my spark plugs replaced and UPREV done on it. Maybe its a bad connection to coil pack?

it's in the owners manual a blinking ses light means that the car is detecting misfire, and congratulations this is the 5000th thread about p0300! you've won the title of permanewb. p0300 is the ecu's catch all for something isn't right. there are over 5 pages of troubleshooting in the factory service manual on it that basically referance every other chapter in the manual, so good luck fixing it.

Edit: the only real fix is to take it to 3 or 4 dealerships porbably about 10 times until they finally figure out what is wrong.

What are you talking about? I didn't post a new thread, this is an ongoing thread on the same issue and I posted a reply on it. There is no 5000th thread, yours is the worthless post. If you don't like people replying to a post ignore and move on.

not you the op do a search 5000 is an exageration but there are tons of threads about p0300, it runs everything in the book from bad tank of gas to plugged cam timing actuators, to a coroded connectors, to a blown engine mount, bad bearings, burned coils, a f'd up ecu, plugged air filters, weak fuel pump, stuck injectors, I personally had a bad thrust bearing and the vibration from the crank was causing it, to bad o2's to dirty mafs to almost anything else on the car, the only way to reliably get it fixed is to keep taking it to the dealership until it is.

Seeing as this thread was started over a year ago, I don't think the OP gives a sh1t.

My car is at dealer as of Saturday for blinking ses and has p300 code. Dealer is going to change plugs and coilpacks since they said the valve cover is leaking. Which I thought they fixed in November but that's another story. If I still have p300 then like people mention could need Maf cleaning or aem cAi messing with signal.

or it could be one of a thousand random other things

so that you don't have to find my posts in one of the older threads when they did mine it took 7 trips to the dealer and 4 months until I found the problem and pointed it out to them(blown thrust bearing)
