Yes it's good to swap to a true LSD over the stock VLSD which isn't great for the true enthusiast who will push the car more beyond DD like lots of spirited driving and defiantly track and auto cross. The stock unit will heat up and basically will act as a open diff like the base model.
The OSG will fit in any model just the base requires different axle stubs.
