You will eventually find the sweet spot to stop the clunk. I haven't clunked in a long time. It used to happen every time when I first got the car.

I find that getting up to 3500rpm and going into second usually prevents it from happening. Or shifting to second at a really low RPM, like under 2000. It is something that really bugged me before, but now I rarely hear it. Just going up my steep *** driveway sometimes when I push in the clutch in the garage. Can't really help it there. |
