Default Clutch Click now... to go with the clutch clunk.

Hi,

So today I heard a click form the clutch and it can be recreated almost very easily... if I am driving slow and engage the clutch i will hear a click...

this click is different from the famous clunk... that we get when the rpm's are low and we shift from 1st to 2nd...

Also this click happens even when the car is not on...

on a similar thread ppl seems to say its normal... is it I am kinda still worried. http://www.the370z.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

i only have about 15xx miles on the car...

Thanks.

I heard that Nissan put a lil gnome in the tranny and he makes a clicking sound to let you know that your clutch is about to wear out!!

j/k.

I have no idea. hope you get it resolved. I knowf or a fact it sucks driving a car and constantly wondering if the sound ur hearing is something thats gonna just break at any time.

Wouldn't waste your time with the dealership. 15xx is nothing. Reevaulate at 5k.

It's happened to several members on the board, me included. My click went away when the engine cooled down. It happened at about 5k and only lasted a short time. Has not reappeared and i'm at 12k now (my clutch was replaced for an unrelated problem at 10k). I think it's hydraulic related but it depends.

Sounds exactly how it went with me. It's never returned. Go figure....
