Engine oil question :)

I used 5w20 on my RX-8. If it can handle the heat from a 9k rpm rotory, it can handle the VQ37. The 5w30 just has better protection/lubrication

. Try going to a Nissan dealer and order the oil (5w30) from them. Just be prepared to pay a lot more for Ester Oil.

Thats how it was with my scion, never had an issue. But it also didnt get hot and rev is 6200 in that car EPIC FAIL

TQ is what keeps that car competetive...back to the subject at hand
